The environment is designed to make each visit feel welcoming yet fresh, encouraging guests to return and discover something new.Role Description The Head Barista is a full-time, on-site role based in Bilaspur, responsible for leading daily coffee bar operations and setting the standard for beverage quality and guest experience. This role includes preparing and serving specialty coffee and other beverages, overseeing espresso bar workflow, and maintaining equipment and cleanliness to café standards. The Head Barista will train and mentor baristas, develop and refine brew methods and recipes, and help design seasonal coffee offerings in collaboration with the leadership team. They will ensure consistent, courteous customer service, handle guest feedback professionally, and support opening and closing procedures, inventory checks, and coordination with the kitchen for paired food offerings. The role also involves promoting learning-focused culture by sharing coffee knowledge with guests and encouraging curiosity about brewing techniques and origins.Qualifications Strong barista skills, including espresso extraction, milk steaming, manual brewing methods (e.g., pour-over, French press, AeroPress), and drink presentation.Experience in café operations, such as managing daily service flow, overseeing opening and closing tasks, and maintaining hygiene and safety standards.Leadership and team management abilities, including training baristas, giving constructive feedback, scheduling support, and fostering a respectful, inclusive workplace.Customer service and communication skills to engage guests, explain menu items, handle questions or concerns, and create a welcoming, calm environment during busy periods.Basic inventory and planning capabilities, including monitoring stock levels, coordinating with suppliers, and minimizing waste without compromising quality.Attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work on-site full-time, including weekends or evenings as required for café operations.Previous experience in specialty coffee or a similar café environment; familiarity with coffee origins, roasting profiles, and flavor notes is an advantage.Interest in teaching and learning, with a willingness to participate in internal coffee trainings, workshops, and ongoing skill development.Ability to stand for extended periods and perform hands-on café tasks; adherence to food safety and hygiene practices at all times.
