As part of a growing hospitality environment, Gallagher's Boxty House developed it's own brewery in 2016 under the name Gallagher's Brew House. Gallagher's Brew House has grown from strength to strength over the years and it is now ready for a head brewer to take control and guide it forward.Role Description The Head Brewer is a full-time, on-site role based at Gallagher's Brew House in Tallaght. Dublin. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of small-batch brewing operations, including recipe development, brewing, fermentation management, and quality control. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring production schedules, maintaining brewing equipment, ensuring cleanliness and safety standards, and tracking inventory of ingredients and supplies. The Head Brewer collaborates with the management and restaurant bar teams to ensure cleanliness and quality control are in place. The role also involves documenting brewing processes, complying with relevant regulations, and supporting training for team members on product knowledge.QualificationsPractical brewing experience, including recipe formulation, brewing, and fermentation management.Strong understanding of beer styles, ingredients, and flavour profiles, with attention to quality and consistency.Knowledge of brewing equipment operation, maintenance, and sanitation procedures.Awareness of relevant food safety and beverage production regulations and best practices.Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with kitchen, bar, and management teams.Organizational skills for scheduling brews, tracking inventory, and maintaining accurate production records.Ability to perform the physical aspects of brewing, including lifting, standing, and working in a production environment.Previous experience in a brewery, brewpub, or hospitality setting is preferred; formal brewing education or certifications are an advantage.
