Our client, an apparel & sleepwear manufacturer, is looking for a Head Designer to join their team in New York!**WFH Flexibility on Fridays ResponsibilitiesDirect the creative vision and development of collections that stay true to brand identity while meeting customer and business goalsLead and develop the design team by providing creativity, direction and development.Collaborate with the Design Director and Merchandising team to create new concepts, direction, color palettes, fabrications, and trendsAnalyze market trends, consumer behavior, fabrics, colors, and silhouettes to drive new innovationOversee fittings and give direction to ensure alignment with the aestheticEvaluate selling performance and customer feedback to drive new product developmentConfirm design packages, artwork, and technical information are completed properly and on scheduleAssess strike-offs, lap dips, prototypes, and samples to confirm design and quality are metQualifications8-10+ years of relevant design experienceExperience designing for off-price, department store and/or club retailersProficiency in Adobe Illustrator and PhotoshopStrong communication and organization skillsDetail-orientedWilling to travel internationallyExperience managing multiple brands at onceIf this sounds like a fit, please submit your resume for immediate consideration!We suggest that you ensure you have updated your LinkedIn profile and that you start collecting your references early.
