About the RoleYou will lead the Group's procurement strategy, delivering commercial value through strategic sourcing, supplier management, operational excellence, and governance. Leading a team of 5 to 7 professionals, you will drive procurement transformation, optimize enterprise spend, and partner with senior leadership to achieve sustainable business outcomes.ResponsibilitiesEstablish the medium to long-term strategy of the Group’s Procurement function to achieve cost effective outcomes. This may require a transformation of current procurement strategies, policies and practices.Scan latest market developments and incorporate best practices to reduce expenses and improve productivity and organizational effectiveness.Review major procurement contracts; coordinate contract compliance, change orders and problem resolution, complying with contract law; and in consultation with legal counsel as required.Establish, implement and review purchasing standards, controls, policies and procedures.Drive quantifiable improved earnings through savings.Ensure proper governance of all procurement transactions and serve as main interface with external regulatory bodies where necessary.Establish, build and maintain relationships with all key suppliers, and identify opportunities to consolidate with a view towards overall cost reduction and improvements in service delivery.Drive operational procurement execution by leading major sourcing initiatives and complex commercial negotiations, ensuring timely delivery of key purchases, cost competitiveness and effective risk management.Review or enhance data analytics to define opportunities to reduce cost/spend levels, model financial and accounting impacts.Engage senior leadership to support strategic procurement initiatives and suggested recommendations.Provide leadership to the Procurement Department, accountable for the performance of the department, and exercise full management responsibilities.Manage and upgrade the skills and competencies of staff as required.Develop, implement, manage and monitor department’s overall budget.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Finance, Operations, Engineering or other related disciplines.Minimum 10 years’ leadership experience in global procurement or supply chain function.Demonstrated good track record in negotiating and managing global vendor accounts, developing and implementing best in class procurement strategies/practices and deriving cost effective solutions for the company.Excellent stakeholder management with ability to communicate and collaborate at all levels.Possess good leadership skills, and demonstrated ability to drive resultsExperience in transformation especially in the areas of people and process change management.
