Head of Academics
Elevox AI Academy · Nagpur, Maharashtra, India
Apply & track with Apply EdgeTHE MANDATEThis is not a teaching seat. It is the head of the entire academic function. You own what Elevox teaches, who teaches it, and whether every graduate leaves genuinely hireable. You will personally teach, but more importantly you will build and lead the faculty, define the curriculum across the whole academy, and guarantee that an Elevox cohort receives the same standard whether it is taught by you, a visiting practitioner, or a future hire. The institution's academic reputation is yours to build and defend.WHAT YOU WILL OWN— Total curriculum ownership — Foundations, Spark, specialisation tracks, and the courses of the future. You define what Elevox teaches and why.— The teaching team — lab assistants, interns, visiting and full-time faculty. You hire them, onboard them, develop them, and set the bar they teach to.— Faculty quality — observe, assess, and coach every instructor. Formal evaluations, and continuous improvement you own personally.— Delivery consistency — every cohort receives the same Elevox standard regardless of who is in front of the room — through shared frameworks (Theory → Demo → Practice), facilitator guides, rubrics, and observation.— Flagship modules taught live — real tools, real prompts, real builds, including the failures only a practitioner knows.— Responsible AI academy-wide — EU AI Act, India DPDP Act, data governance — taught as a professional discipline, not an ethics footnote.— The academic scoreboard — are graduates being interviewed and hired? Is teaching quality rising cohort over cohort? You carry those two questions.WHERE THIS ROLE ENDSYou own whether a graduate is worth hiring. The Placement & Corporate Relations Manager owns finding the employer who hires them. You will not be asked to source openings, chase MoUs, or run the placement process. You will be asked to produce graduates who survive a technical conversation with a hiring manager — and to change the curriculum when they do not. Employer feedback comes back to you, and acting on it is your job, not a suggestion.BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCEProfile — A former founder or co-founder of a tech or AI venture, OR a seasoned IT / AI professional — engineering lead, AI/ML practitioner, solutions architect, data or product leader — ready to move into education leadership that matters.Experience — 10+ years in technology or AI, with real shipping or deployment, AND experience leading or mentoring people. You have built things, and built the people who build things.Leadership — Demonstrated ability to hire, develop, and hold a team to a standard. You have set quality bars and coached others to meet them — formally or informally.AI depth — First-hand experience applying modern AI (LLMs, automation, data-driven systems) to real problems. You can open the hood, not just describe the car.Teaching — No formal teaching background required. What is required: you can make a room understand, and you can teach others to do the same. We will support the pedagogy — we cannot teach the instinct.Communication — Fluent English; working Hindi. Marathi is an advantage for faculty, community, and parent sessions, but is not a requirement for this role.Availability — Saturdays are working days. Cohort delivery, Demo Day, and parent evenings do not happen Monday to Friday. We would rather you know that now.Motivation — You want impact measured in careers and in an institution you helped build — not in quarters. This is a calling, not a soft landing.YOU ARE RIGHT FOR THIS IF YOU— Have shipped real AI or tech work and led people — and can prove both. — Light up when you turn a confused learner, or a struggling junior instructor, into someone confident and capable. — Think in systems: you want every cohort to be excellent, not just the ones you personally teach. — Are willing to be measured on hiring outcomes rather than on teaching hours or satisfaction scores. — Have reached the point where the next corporate release matters less to you than what you leave behind.WHAT WE ARE NOT LOOKING FORA career trainer. A theorist. Someone who has only read about AI. A brilliant solo builder who cannot lead or develop others. This role is as much about building faculty as building curriculum.Selection includes a live teaching demonstration, a build conversation, and a discussion of how you would raise the standard of a team.HOW TO APPLYSend your CV and a 90-second voice note or video answering one question: tell us about something you built, and one person you made better — and teach us one thing you learned doing either. We are listening for the builder, the teacher, and the leader at once.Apply at: jobs@elevox.ai Or write directly to the Founder at naving@elevox.ai — for this role, that route is read personally.
