The Head of Advanced Services & Resources Clusters is responsible for leading the development, investment attraction, and growth of a portfolio of strategic economic clusters including:Financial ServicesMetals & MineralsEnergy TransitionTrade & LogisticsChemicalsThe role oversees cluster strategy execution, pipeline development, investment promotion, deal review, stakeholder engagement, and economic impact delivery across the assigned portfolio. The position works closely with cluster leaders, government entities, sovereign investors, regulators, and industry champions to attract strategic investments, accelerate ecosystem development, and contribute to Abu Dhabi's economic diversification agenda.The role is accountable for driving measurable outcomes including GDP contribution, foreign direct investment (FDI), job creation, industrial localization, innovation, and ecosystem development across the assigned clusters.1. Strategic Planning & Portfolio LeadershipLead planning activities across the assigned cluster portfolio, including Financial Services, Metals & Minerals, Energy Transition, Trade & Logistics, and Chemicals.Consolidate and review cluster strategies, investment priorities, economic impact assessments, and development plans prepared by individual Cluster Heads.Ensure alignment between cluster plans and Abu Dhabi's economic development priorities.Consolidate annual budgets, KPIs, performance targets, and strategic initiatives across the portfolio.Prioritize investment opportunities and resource allocation across multiple sectors to maximize economic impact.Challenge and guide cluster teams to ensure robust sector strategies, investment theses, and execution plans.2. Investment Attraction & Deal Origination OversightLead and oversee investment attraction activities across all assigned clusters.Determine priority markets, target investors, and sector-specific engagement strategies.Conduct executive-level investor engagement, global roadshows, industry forums, and strategic business development initiatives.Engage global industry leaders, investors, corporates, and government stakeholders to promote Abu Dhabi as a preferred investment destination.Review and challenge investment opportunities identified by Cluster Heads and ensure alignment with strategic priorities.Drive cross-cluster investment opportunities where integrated value propositions exist.3. Deal Review, Assessment & Transaction LeadershipReview strategic investment opportunities submitted by Cluster Heads and provide direction on prioritization and progression.Assess opportunities against:Strategic alignmentGDP contributionFDI generationEmployment impactCommercial sustainabilityFinancial viabilityLead discussions with Abu Dhabi's champion organizations, sovereign investors, and strategic partners regarding investment opportunities.Review and provide strategic input on term sheets, SPAs, partnership agreements, and transaction structures when required.Support the resolution of complex commercial, regulatory, or stakeholder issues affecting key opportunities.Act as escalation point for major investment projects and strategic partnerships.4. Executive Ecosystem EngagementEngage senior leadership across Abu Dhabi's economic development ecosystem to secure approvals, regulatory support, infrastructure solutions, and access to capital.Build and maintain relationships with:Government authoritiesSovereign wealth fundsRegulatorsIndustry championsInfrastructure providersStrategic investorsCoordinate ecosystem interventions required to unlock complex investments.Support Portfolio Management and Value Creation teams on strategic investor matters.Partner with ADIO and DED leadership on strategic initiatives and economic development projects.Represent ADIO at executive-level forums, industry conferences, and investor engagements.5. Performance Management & ReportingConsolidate and review bi-weekly and monthly reports across all assigned clusters.Monitor portfolio performance against agreed KPIs and economic impact targets.Track:FDI securedGDP contributionJobs createdStrategic partnershipsPipeline valueInvestment conversion ratesPrepare executive briefings, board materials, leadership presentations, and ad hoc reports on strategic opportunities.Ensure portfolio visibility and transparency through effective reporting and governance processes.6.
