OPIT - Open Institute of Technology is an EU-accredited Higher Education Institution that wants to revolutionize the university-level teaching of computer science by providing students with up-to-date, competence-based, and entirely online degrees in this field.OPIT offers BSc and MSc degrees in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Cybersecurity, and Digital Business, as well as a Doctoral programme in Applied Artificial Intelligence, all taught in English.AI is at the core of OPIT’s academic offer, from our Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees to our Doctoral programme in Applied Artificial Intelligence. We are looking for a Head of AI Programmes to lead this area, ensuring our students learn to build AI systems that are innovative, effective and responsible.The roleReporting to the Academic Director, you will lead OPIT’s AI academic area, serving as Area Chair. You will:Oversee AI content across our Master’s and Doctoral programmes, keeping it aligned with the state of the art and the needs of industryLead the design of new AI courses and programmes, with Responsible AI as a distinctive threadBuild partnerships with industry and research institutions and develop funded projectsSupport faculty hiring, admissions and doctoral defense committeesContribute to OPIT’s positioning and communication in AIDepending on your profile, take on teaching assignments within your area as Adjunct ProfessorWhat we are looking forPhD in Computer Science, AI or a related fieldStrong research record in AI or Machine Learning; expertise in Responsible AI (fairness, explainability, ethics, governance) is a plusExperience in curriculum design, funded projects and industry collaborationFluent EnglishWhat we offerA leadership role in a fast-growing international institution, flexible remote collaboration, and an annual fixed fee commensurate with experience.What's nextApplication screening: we review every application.HR interview: if your profile matches, you will be invited to a first interview with our HR team.Hiring committee: shortlisted candidates will meet the hiring committee.Management team: a final conversation with OPIT's management team.
