Role: Head of Electrical - AircraftLocation: DubaiWorking Arrangement: Office BasedSalary: Up to 60kAED per monthHelp shape the future of advanced aerospace as Head of Electrical, joining an ambitious programme developing a next generation eVTOL platform from the ground up.This is an opportunity to join at a formative stage and have a genuine influence on how the electrical function, team and delivery capability are built. Working closely with the Chief Engineer, you will lead the electrical organisation and be hands-on across load analysis, architecture, installation and the delivery of the electrical system.The Chief Engineer will own technical authority and decide what is technically acceptable. You will own how that work is delivered, building the team, setting the plan, managing cost and ensuring suppliers and engineering partners deliver against programme commitments.What you’ll be doingYou will build and lead the electrical organisation, recruiting Principal and Senior specialists as the programme and wiring and installation workload develops. You’ll set the delivery plan, integrate it into the wider programme and make sure dependencies across engineering, installation and industrialisation are understood and managed.You’ll establish the electrical data and tooling capability needed to support a complex aerospace programme, including harness design and routing, wiring data management and the interfaces into PLM. You’ll also establish electrical test capability covering power quality, load-bank testing, bonding and grounding, alongside supporting the development of the iron-bird.In the early phases, you’ll be a hands-on technical leader across load analysis, electrical architecture and installation. You’ll manage suppliers delivering electrical equipment and harnesses, including long-lead commitments and recovery plans where performance falls short.You’ll own the electrical domain budget and understand the longer-term cost implications of wiring and installation decisions. You’ll also be accountable for delivering the electrical inputs required by Battery, Avionics, Mission Systems, Structures, Industrialisation and Sovereign C2.Safety will be fundamental to the role, particularly around high-voltage and energised-system activity in build and test environments. You’ll provide clear, honest reporting on progress and have the confidence to escalate issues early enough for them to be recovered.What we’re looking forYou’ll bring 12+ years’ experience in aircraft electrical systems, including at least five years on airborne programmes where you have been directly involved in real installation and wiring delivery.You’ll have taken an aircraft electrical system or major electrical work package through to hardware and test, with genuine accountability for plan and schedule. You’ll have experience building and leading technical teams, including recruiting and developing engineers.We’re looking for someone with strong experience delivering electrical wiring interconnection systems at scale, including the tooling, data management and configuration control that come with them. You should retain hands-on credibility in load analysis, electrical architecture or installation and have recent experience applying that knowledge.Supplier management experience across electrical equipment or harness manufacture is important, as is experience with planning, estimating and owning costs for an electrical development and installation programme.You’ll also be comfortable working in a collaborative leadership model where technical authority and delivery authority are deliberately separated.Experience in electric or hybrid-electric aircraft, flight-critical electrical power systems, greenfield aerospace programmes or harness design and manufacturing would be particularly valuable. Experience supporting production ramp-up, developing supply capability in a new region or building an engineering organisation from the ground up would also be an advantage.Why this role?This is a chance to join an advanced aerospace programme at a point where your decisions will have a lasting impact.
