The role is responsible for developing and implementing asset management strategies, overseeing inventory control systems, and ensuring compliance with UAE laws, regulations, and internal policies. It includes supervising warehouse operations, managing asset registration, transfer, maintenance, and disposal processes, and ensuring accurate reporting and accountability across all asset-related activities. The position also leads asset-related committees, drives operational efficiency, and ensures optimal stock control, safety, and transparency in all warehouse and inventory functions.Key ResponsibilitiesGovern the Ministry’s assets and properties and oversee warehouse operations, ensuring proper registration, transfer, utilization, and disposal of assets in accordance with applicable UAE laws, regulations, and internal proceduresDevelop and implement an integrated asset and property management strategy aligned with regulatory requirements, approved standards, and the Ministry’s operational objectivesOversee and coordinate the activities of asset-related committees, including annual and surprise inventory committees, inspection committees, and disposal committees for furniture, equipment, devices, and cultural assets, ensuring accurate documentation of asset condition and usabilityMonitor and validate the receipt of goods and materials into Ministry warehouses, ensuring physical and quantitative verification against purchase orders, contracts, and delivery documentationManage the identification, classification, and disposal of damaged, obsolete, or non-functional items, ensuring proper handling and preventing unnecessary accumulation within warehouse facilitiesEnsure the security, safety, and integrity of warehouse operations, while maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all inventory transactions, including issuance, receipt, and internal distributionProcess and approve requests from organizational units for the issuance of stored items, ensuring compliance with established procedures, controls, and operational requirementsConduct regular and periodic inventory audits and stock counts across all warehouses, and prepare consolidated monthly reports for submission to senior managementPrepare comprehensive periodic reports on asset and warehouse operations, highlighting stock levels, movements, variances, risks, and compliance status in line with the approved reporting frameworkEnsure continuous improvement of asset management processes, systems, and controls to enhance efficiency, transparency, accountability, and compliance with best practices and regulatory standardsQualification & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related fielMinimum 6+ years of relevant experience in asset management, inventory control, warehouse operations, logistics, supply chain management, or facilities-related asset governancMinimum 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role overseeing asset management systems, warehouses, or multi-site inventory operationProven experience in managing asset lifecycle processes including asset registration, tagging, valuation, transfer, maintenance tracking, and disposal.Demonstrated experience in preparing reports, dashboards, and KPIs for senior management decision-makingPreferred CertificationCertified Asset Management Professional or similar certification (e.g., IAM Certificate/Diploma in Asset ManagementCertified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTCertified Inventory/Stores Management qualificationProject Management Professional (PMP) is an advantage
