Apply & track with Apply EdgeQuanloop runs a regulated investment business, and we are hiring a Head of Communications and Brand to build our communications function from the ground up, define our corporate story, lead overall brand positioning, and oversee both internal and external communications.The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution. You will build and scale the function from scratch, from hiring talent to setting up how the team works, while owning brand narrative, positioning, PR, executive thought leadership, and content planning across channels.You will lead the communications team and external partners (if necessary), and act as the primary writer for high-stakes corporate messaging. As brand gatekeeper, you will keep messaging and visual identity sharp and consistent across every channel.Operating in a regulated financial environment, you will balance creative positioning with strict compliance, translating complex financial products into clear, engaging brand communications.Working ArrangementsWorking model: office-first in BudapestHiring basis: local hire for the Budapest officeWorking language: EnglishReports to: Chief Growth OfficerWhat You’ll Be Responsible ForBuilding the Communications and Brand function from the ground up-hiring, onboarding, and structuring in-house copywriters, PR talent, and external agency resources (If necessary).Defining, setting, and safeguarding our brand narrative and positioning strategy, leading visual and messaging re-branding initiatives, and serving as the ultimate brand gatekeeper.Owning internal and external communications, media relations, reputation management, and crisis communications to shape market perception.Building thought-leadership platforms for company leadership, including executive commentary, keynote material, and opinion pieces.Maintaining high creative standards across all touchpoints, ensuring visual design, tone, and brand positioning align with market standards.Partnering with Product, Business, and Senior Executives on strategic narrative alignment, coordinating with Growth and Performance teams to guide messaging, and collaborating with the Creative Factory for visual execution.What This Role Is NotNot a Head of Marketing Position: This role is focused specifically on brand narrative, positioning strategy, reputation, corporate communications, and PR. You are not running user acquisition campaigns, performance marketing budgets, lead generation funnels, or commercial marketing operations.Not a Purely Delegatory Role: While you will build the team, set the strategy, and draft content plans, you will still write critical corporate announcements, draft executive copy, and refine high-stakes narrative assets yourself.Not a Design Function: You will direct visual tone and ensure visual taste, but technical execution relies on close collaboration with our Creative Factory team.A Typical WeekAligning with the Chief Growth Officer on narrative shifts, positioning strategy, and strategic business priorities.Steering brand development or re-branding workflows with designers and content teams.Drafting a strategic media responses.Briefing and reviewing work from Comms/PR copywritersIf you read this and thought "this sounds like me"- we want to talk.Apply now and build something that actually matters!
