The role is responsible for overseeing compliance with GACA regulations, ICAO standards, airport certification requirements, corporate governance obligations, and internal management systems.Acting as a key advisor to senior leadership, the Head of Compliance provides independent assurance on regulatory adherence, compliance performance, risk controls, and organizational governance. The role also serves as the focal point for compliance auditing, regulatory engagement, corrective action oversight, and continuous improvement initiatives, supporting the airport's commitment to safe, efficient, and compliant operations.As a strategic leader, the Head of Compliance promotes a strong compliance culture across the organization, fostering accountability, transparency, and operational excellence while ensuring the airport remains prepared for regulatory oversight and certification requirements.Key Responsibilities:Lead and continuously enhance the Compliance Monitoring Programme and internal assurance framework.Ensure compliance with applicable aviation regulations, airport certification requirements, and internal policies.Develop and deliver risk-based compliance audits, inspections, and assurance activities across airport operations.Oversee the management of audit findings, corrective actions, and compliance improvement initiatives.Act as the primary liaison for regulatory inspections, audits, and compliance reviews.Provide independent compliance reports, insights, and recommendations to Executive Management.Promote a strong compliance culture across the organization, supporting accountability and continuous improvement.Build and maintain effective relationships with regulators, business leaders, and operational stakeholders.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Safety, Risk Management, Business, Law, Engineering, or a related discipline.Minimum 10 years of experience in aviation compliance, audit, safety assurance, governance, or regulatory oversight.At least 5 years of leadership experience within a complex operational environment.Strong knowledge of GACA regulations, ICAO SARPs, Safety Management Systems (SMS), compliance monitoring, and aerodrome certification requirements.Proven experience managing audits, inspections, regulatory engagements, and corrective action programmes.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and leadership skills.High levels of integrity, professional judgement, and commitment to continuous improvement.We appreciate the interest of all applicants and wish you all the best; only candidates shortlisted for the next stage of the recruitment process will be contacted.
