Please only apply if you have experience from the UAE in Corporate CreditHead of Corporate Credit Risk (2nd Line) and Special Assets & RemedialUAE | BankingETRA Talent is working exclusively with a leading financial institution in the UAE to appoint a senior Head of Corporate Credit Risk (2nd Line) and Special Assets & Remedial.This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who has built their career in Corporate Credit within the UAE, ideally moving from relationship/credit underwriting and approvals into Special Assets Management, Remedial Credit, Restructuring or Distressed Assets.The successful individual will take a leading role across the bank’s credit risk function, with particular responsibility for stressed, distressed and non-performing corporate exposures.We are specifically looking for:

• Extensive Corporate Credit experience within the UAE banking market
• A strong background in credit underwriting, approvals and portfolio management
• Subsequent experience in Special Assets Management, Corporate Remedial, Restructuring or Distressed/NPL portfolios
• Strong understanding of UAE credit risk regulations and Central Bank expectations
• Experience managing complex corporate exposures, restructurings, recoveries and workout situations
• Strong understanding of collateral, security, provisioning and recovery strategies
• Experience working closely with Legal, Business, Finance and senior Risk stakeholders
• Proven leadership experience, ideally managing sizeable credit risk / remedial teams
• Arabic speaking would be highly advantageousThis is not a traditional portfolio credit role. We are looking for someone who understands how corporate credit is originated, how risk deteriorates and, importantly, what needs to happen when an exposure becomes stressed or distressed.The role will have significant senior stakeholder exposure and responsibility for providing strategic credit risk insight across the corporate portfolio, while overseeing Special Assets and Remedial activities.Experience: 12+ years within banking, with substantial UAE Corporate Credit and senior Credit Risk experience.
