It ingests and correlates log data in real time across endpoints, cloud workloads, containers, and databases to detect threats as they happen and perform actionsRole Description The Head of Cyber Security is a full-time, on-site role based in Lahore, responsible for leading Verisent's overall security strategy and operations. This position oversees the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of cyber, network, application, and information security controls across the organization. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring security posture, managing vulnerability assessments and remediation, coordinating incident response, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. The role involves collaborating with engineering, product, and operations teams to embed security into systems and processes, as well as conducting security awareness initiatives for team members. The Head of Cyber Security will also evaluate new security technologies and guide risk management decisions to protect company and customer data.QualificationsStrong foundational expertise in Cybersecurity and Information Security, including security frameworks, policies, risk assessment, and governance.Demonstrated experience in Network Security, such as firewall configuration, intrusion detection and prevention, secure network architecture, and endpoint protection.Hands-on background in Application Security, including secure coding practices, code review, penetration testing, and working with development teams on secure SDLC.Proficiency in Vulnerability Management, encompassing vulnerability scanning, prioritization, remediation planning, and reporting.Experience leading security teams or functions, with the ability to set strategy, define KPIs, and manage cross-functional initiatives.Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP) and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.Experience in e-commerce or digital marketplaces and familiarity with data privacy regulations are advantageous.
