We are exclusively retained by a multi-billion-dollar global healthcare pioneer to appoint a Head of Data Strategy, Enterprise Customer Data, Platforms & AI.The Organisation:Our client is a global leader in specialised diagnostics, with connected instruments and software in hospitals and laboratories worldwide. It is now deep into a major digital transformation, building enterprise-wide customer platforms, connected instruments, and data-enabled clinical workflows in one of the most tightly regulated industries there is.The Mandate: One Customer Data Strategy, Built for AIThis is a newly defined senior leadership role for someone who builds and integrates. You will work across Digital Solutions, Business Units, IT, Regulatory & Quality, and Security, replacing fragmented approaches with a single enterprise strategy for external, customer-facing data:Enterprise Customer Data Strategy: Define and own the data strategy across digital platforms, connected instruments, and software. Set a shared north star with the Business Units and turn it into data and AI roadmaps with measurable outcomes.Cross-BU Alignment: Bring Digital Product Management, Business Units, and R&D behind common standards and reusable data, while leaving room for BU-specific regulatory and market needs. Settle the arguments over priorities and ownership.Governance in a Regulated Environment: Build the enterprise governance framework for customer data, covering ownership, quality, lineage, access, and lifecycle. Work with Regulatory, Quality, Legal, and Security so that IVDR, GDPR, data sovereignty, and AI requirements are built in from the start.AI Foundations: Create the data foundations for production-grade, responsible AI, including training data traceability, bias mitigation, explainability, and auditability. Move the business from pilots to compliant AI at scale.Platforms & Data Products: Partner with IT and architecture leadership on enterprise data models, APIs, and shared services. Converge a fragmented landscape and embed Data as a Product.Leadership & Investment: Build and lead the data strategy and governance team, own the investment roadmap and budget, and advise the executive team on data, AI, and risk trade-offs.Who You Are:A data and AI leader with 15+ years' leadership experienceSomeone with a proven record of enterprise-wide data strategy, especially for external and customer-facing platforms.Experienced in regulated environments such as diagnostics, medical devices, life sciences, or healthcare, and comfortable with healthcare regulation, data protection, and privacy.An executive influencer who can align Business Units, technical teams, and regulatory functions around one vision.Someone who leads leaders and has built cross-functional teams through real cultural change.Experience in IVD, medical devices, or pharma is strongly preferred.
