Head of Data Science and MIS

JOB SUMMARYHead of Data Science & MIS is responsible for defining and leading the enterprise-wide strategy for Data Science, Advanced Modelling, and Management Information Systems (MIS). The role drives the development of predictive and prescriptive analytics capabilities to support executive decision-making, enabling accurate, timely, and commercially impactful business decisions.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESLead, manage, and develop the Data Science and MIS teams to deliver high-impact modelling, analytics, and decision support capabilities across the organization.Provide strategic direction and oversight for the design, development, and validation of predictive and prescriptive models to support revenue growth and business optimization.Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of analytics projects, ensuring alignment with business priorities, timelines, and performance targets.Mentor and strengthen team capabilities in advanced statistical modelling, machine learning, data engineering, and business intelligence.Develop executive dashboards and decision intelligence tools that translate complex analytics into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.Integrate and analyze Big Data from omni-channel sources, including digital platforms, Super App, offline transactions, tenant data, and customer behavior touchpoints.Guide the team in translating analytical findings into executive-ready insights and decision frameworks.Foster cross-functional collaboration between Data, Commercial, Marketing, Operations, and IT teams to embed data-driven decision-making.JOB SPECIFICATIONEducation and Experience:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.Minimum 10–15 years of progressive experience in Data Science, Advanced Analytics, Predictive Modelling, and MIS, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.Proven experience leading and scaling Data Science and Business Intelligence teams at an enterprise level.Strong track record in developing and deploying predictive and prescriptive models that drive measurable business outcomes.Experience designing and governing enterprise MIS and executive decision support systems.Demonstrated ability to translate complex analytical outputs into strategic business recommendations for senior executives.Experience in retail, loyalty programs, omni-channel ecosystems, digital platforms, or large-scale consumer data environments is highly preferred.Required Skills/Abilities:Strong expertise in data modelling and machine learningSolid MIS and executive reporting knowledgeAbility to translate data into business decisionsProven team leadership in Data Science / BIProficiency in analytics tools (Python, R, SQL, BI)Strong commercial and stakeholder management skills
