Head of Data Strategy & Governance

An opportunity to shape the data strategy at the heart of a global payments technology business.CellPoint Digital is looking for an exceptional senior data leader to take ownership of our enterprise data agenda creating the governance, architecture, quality and controls that will support the next stage of our growth.Working closely with the CTO and executive leadership team, you’ll have the mandate to build a pragmatic, scalable data capability that supports our payments ecosystem today while creating the foundations for advanced analytics, merchant intelligence and AI-driven initiatives tomorrow.The RoleYou’ll own and deliver CellPoint Digital’s enterprise Data Governance Strategy, with responsibility for:

• Driving measurable improvements in data quality across critical business domains
• Shaping scalable data architecture, metadata, lineage and lifecycle management
• Creating trusted, consistent data for executive decision-making and operational reporting
• Building the data foundations for advanced analytics, merchant intelligence and AI
• Ensuring robust management of sensitive and cardholder data, aligned with UK GDPR and PCI-DSS
• Reducing data-related operational, regulatory and reputational risk
• Building and leading a small, high-performing data functionWho are we looking for?You’ll already be operating as a senior data leader within payments, fintech, financial services or another highly regulated technology environment.You’ll bring significant experience across Data Governance, Data Quality, data architecture, metadata, lineage and data lifecycle management, combined with strong knowledge of UK GDPR and PCI-DSS. Crucially, you’ll be commercially minded and credible at executive level someone who can influence, challenge and turn complex data issues into clear business decisions.Experience within payment orchestration, gateways, acquiring or card processing would be particularly valuable.This is an opportunity to build rather than simply inherit with genuine executive visibility and the chance to shape how data supports the future of CellPoint Digital.Interested?
