Location: Hyderabad Department: Technology Reports to: Chief Operating Officer (COO) Employment Type: Full-time | LeadershipAbout the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Head of Engineering & Technology who can take ownership of both our engineering and IT functions.This role will cover software engineering, architecture, QA, data, cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, and day-to-day technology operations across Warrous Private Limited, with coordinated oversight for ClicTechnologies.We are looking for someone who can think strategically but is also comfortable getting into the details when required.

You will work closely with the COO and leadership team to make sure technology supports business growth, client delivery, security, and operational efficiency.What You'll DoEngineeringOwn the overall technology roadmap covering engineering, product development, QA, and releases.Set practical engineering and coding standards across projects.Ensure projects are delivered on time and to the expected quality.Review architecture and technical solutions for client and internal projects.Make informed decisions around platforms, tools, build-vs-buy, scalability, and technical debt.ITTake ownership of IT infrastructure, networks, systems, endpoints, and helpdesk.Manage IT assets, software licenses, procurement, vendors, and AMC contracts.Ensure proper access management, onboarding, and offboarding processes.Maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans.Architecture & DataDefine and maintain the organization’s architecture and cloud strategy.Guide teams on APIs, integrations, microservices, and scalable system design.Drive data, reporting, and BI initiatives to support business decisions.Explore practical opportunities around AI, automation, and RPA.Security & ComplianceTake overall responsibility for technology security and risk.Coordinate vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and remediation.Drive ISO 27001 / ISO 9001 requirements and audit readiness.Ensure technology policies, controls, and documentation are maintained.Support applicable data-privacy requirements such as GDPR and CCPA.Team & LeadershipLead and mentor engineering, QA, architecture, and IT teams across both organizations.Work with the COO on hiring, budgets, team structure, and technology priorities.Represent Technology in leadership and governance discussions.Work directly with senior internal and client stakeholders when technical issues need escalation.Vendors & BudgetsManage technology budgets and identify opportunities to optimize costs.Manage vendors, cloud providers, AMCs, and cybersecurity partners.Handle vendor evaluations, negotiations, renewals, and performance.Technology ExposureYou don't need to be an expert in every technology listed below, but you should be comfortable understanding the landscape, guiding teams, hiring the right people, and making technology decisions.Languages: Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#/.NET, Go, PHP, SQLFrontend: React.js, Angular, Vue.js, HTML5/CSS3, Tailwind, Bootstrap, Next.jsBackend: Spring Boot, Node.js/Express, Django/Flask, .NET Core, REST, GraphQL, MicroservicesDatabases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Oracle, MS SQL Server, DatabricksCloud: AWS, Azure, GCPDevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub Actions/GitLab CI, Terraform, Ansible, GitArchitecture: Enterprise/Solution Architecture, System Design, APIs, Microservices, Event-Driven ArchitectureQA: Selenium, Cypress, Postman, JMeter, Test AutomationData & BI: Power BI, Tableau, SQL, ETL, Data Warehousing, AI/ML, RPAIT: Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory/Azure AD, Networking, VPN, Firewalls, Microsoft 365/Google Workspace, Intune/JAMF, VoIPTools: JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Teams, SharePoint, Notion, Freshservice/ServiceNowWhat We're Looking For15+ years of experience in technology, with progressive leadership responsibility.At least 4+ years leading both engineering and IT functions.Experience as a Head of Engineering, VP Technology, CTO, or in a similar leadership role.Strong experience in at least one technology stack such as Java/Spring, Node.js, Python/Django, or .NET.Good understanding of cloud, DevOps, architecture, data, and IT operations.Experience with ISO 27001 and/or ISO 9001 implementation or audit readiness.Experience managing technology vendors, AMCs, cybersecurity, and penetration testing.Experience leading distributed or multi-location teams.Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical matters in simple business terms.Good to HaveBachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.Certifications such as ISO 27001, PMP, TOGAF, AWS/Azure Architect, CISSP, or CISM.Experience in a consulting, client-services, product, or product-plus-services environment.Exposure to GDPR/CCPA and QMS/ISMS processes.What Success Looks LikeIn this role, you will help us build a technology function that is reliable, secure, scalable, and aligned with business needs — while building strong engineering and IT teams that can deliver consistently.If you enjoy combining technology leadership with hands-on problem solving and business thinking, we'd like to hear from you.
