This is a builder-leader charter with the role setting engineering direction, reviews and writes code on critical paths, and is accountable for predictable delivery against business milestones. It combines technical leadership of a regulated trading and settlement platform, and operational leadership of its engineering organisation.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Architecture & Platform: Own the end-to-end architecture across investor apps (web/mobile), order management, matching/RFQ, settlement, ledger, and on-chain layers; set standards for scalability, fault tolerance, and data integrity; own re-architecture, refactoring, and performance optimisation.
- Hands-on Engineering: Stay in the code: lead design reviews, review pull requests on critical services, prototype hard problems, and step into incident resolution.
- Engineering Operations & Delivery: Run engineering as an operating function — sprint and release cadence, estimation discipline, delivery tracking, and clear ownership per module; product roadmap into committed, milestones and hold the team to them; own the engineering budget, track delivery and reliability KPIs
- Trading, Settlement & Custody Tech: Build and harden order flows, DvP settlement, reconciliation, and wallet/custody integrations (including MPC-based custody); ensure fiat and token ledgers reconciliation.
- Integrations & Rails: Own integrations with banks, payment rails, KYC/AML providers, vault and custodian partners, and blockchain networks; manage third-party SLAs and fallbacks.
- Security, Reliability & Compliance Tech: Own production uptime, observability, incident management, DR/BCP, and secure SDLC; implement technology controls required under applicable SEBI/RBI and CERT-In norms in partnership with Risk and Compliance; be audit-ready.
