This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can architect, build, scale, and lead high-quality engineering execution across web, mobile, AI, marketplace, payments, graphics, and intelligent automation systems.This is not a traditional engineering manager role. We are looking for a builder-leader who can code, architect, hire, mentor, review, and ship fast.What You Will Own- Lead end-to-end engineering for Airawath’s web, mobile, backend, AI, marketplace, and automation systems.- Architect and scale a high-quality consumer platform using Python, Next.js, Flutter, and AWS.- Build and manage engineering systems for invitations, gifting, RSVP workflows, vendor marketplace, user profiles, payments, recommendations, and intelligent event workflows.- Build and scale AI recommendation systems, especially around gifting, vendors, user preferences, relationships, events, and personalized experiences.- Design and implement agentic AI systems that can execute end-to-end business workflows, automate decision pipelines, and improve user experience.- Lead engineering execution across B2C, B2B2C, marketplace, fintech-style, and social/community product flows.- Drive architecture decisions around APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, security, performance, observability, analytics, and scalability.- Work closely with the Founder on product strategy, technical roadmap, AI roadmap, hiring, execution priorities, and company-building.- Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team in India.- Establish engineering standards, code quality, sprint discipline, architecture reviews, release processes, and production monitoring.- Move fast without compromising product quality, reliability, security, or user experience.Must-Have BackgroundWe are looking for someone who has built and scaled real products, not just managed teams.The ideal candidate should have strong domain expertise in at least two of the following areas:- E-commerce / Vendor Marketplace- Fintech / Payments / Wallets / Transactional Systems- Social Media / Community / Consumer Engagement Applications- Consumer Mobile or Web Platforms- AI-powered personalization or recommendation platformsRequired Experience- Prior engineering leadership experience in a high-growth startup, unicorn-level startup, or FAANG-style product company.- Proven ability to deliver products fast while building scalable architecture.- Hands-on experience leading full-stack product engineering teams.- Strong experience with consumer applications, marketplace systems, or high-scale transactional platforms.- Ability to work in a fast-moving, ambiguous, early-stage startup environment.- Strong product thinking, not just technical execution.- Prior experience building or leading engineering for platforms with real users, real transactions, and real production scale.- Strong ability to hire, mentor, and manage engineers while still staying close to the code and architecture.Core Technology StackExperience with our current or similar stack is strongly preferred:- Python- Next.js / React- Flutter- AWS- REST APIs / Microservices / Event-driven systems- PostgreSQL / MySQL / MongoDB / Redis or similar- CI/CD, cloud deployment, monitoring, logging, and production supportApplied AI RequirementsAI is central to Airawath.
