Our Offshore Wind business vertical is currently executing a landmark 2GW offshore wind project for TenneT in the Netherlands. We are seeking a strategic, high-caliber, and hands-on financial leader to head our Netherlands Finance & Accounts function and steer this mega-project to commercial success.🎯 Job PurposeThe incumbent will manage the entire gamut of the Finance, Accounting, and Controlling functions for client’s corporate entity in the Netherlands and its multi-billion-euro 2GW offshore wind project. The role demands total ownership of financial governance, local statutory compliances, complex Dutch/EU taxation, and strategic financial control of a large-scale infrastructure project.📋 Key Responsibilities1. Project Financial Control & Accounting• Oversee the end-to-end accounting operations of the Netherlands entity and the 2GW TenneT project.• Implement robust project controls, cost-tracking mechanisms, and variance analysis (Budget vs. Actual).• Manage project cash flows, working capital, and multi-currency treasury operations.• Formulate accurate rolling financial forecasts, annual budgets, and long-term business plans.2. Statutory Compliance & Reporting• Ensure full compliance with Dutch GAAP and IFRS for all local entity and project reporting.• Lead the preparation of annual financial statements and coordinate smoothly with external auditors for timely closure.• Manage strict compliance with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK) filing requirements.• Handle intercompany accounting, transfer pricing documentation, and group reporting requirements back to India HQ.3. Dutch & EU Taxation (Direct & Indirect)• Manage all aspects of Dutch corporate income tax (CIT) and ensure alignment with the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration (Belastingdienst).• Oversee complex VAT (BTW) structuring, exemptions, and compliance specific to large offshore wind/energy projects, including EU cross-border transactions.• Ensure accurate administration of payroll taxes (Loonheffing), wage withholding, and compliance with local labor/pension regulations.• Mitigate tax risks through proactive tax planning and maintaining a transparent relationship with tax authorities.4. Stakeholder & Contract Management• Act as the primary financial interface for the client (TenneT), consortium partners, subcontractors, and financial institutions.• Review commercial contracts, evaluate financial risks, and ensure robust bank guarantee / letter of credit (LC) management.• Provide strategic financial counsel to the Project Director and senior leadership to drive profitability and risk mitigation.🎓 Qualifications & ExperienceEducation & Professional Certifications (Netherlands Specific)• Academic: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Fiscal Economics from a reputable Dutch university.• Professional: Must hold a recognized Dutch professional accounting certification, such as:o RC (Register controller) oro RA (Register accountant)Experience Profile• Overall Experience: Minimum 12+ years of post-qualification experience in corporate finance and project controlling.• Industry Focus: Proven track record in Offshore Wind, Renewable Energy, Maritime, EPC, or Mega-Infrastructure sectors.• Scale: Prior experience managing large-scale capital projects (ideally €500M+ or GW-scale projects).• Leadership: Minimum 5 years in a leadership role (CFO, Finance Director, or Head of F&A) managing cross-functional finance teams.Language & Skills• Languages: Fluent Dutch (essential for local regulatory/statutory interactions) and Fluent English (corporate language).• Technical: Strong proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced financial modeling tools.• Competencies: Exceptional negotiation skills, high integrity, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to operate in a multicultural, matrixed corporate environment
