Head of Finance

We are seeking an experienced Head of Finance to lead the finance function for an MNC based in Abu Dhabi.This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership position requiring someone who can take ownership of the day-to-day finance function while significantly improving reporting, processes and financial visibility across the organisation.The successful candidate will combine strong technical finance expertise with commercial awareness and the confidence to operate as a genuine business partner to senior leadership.The RoleWorking closely with the General Manager and senior leadership team, you will take responsibility for the financial management and performance of the business unit.You will lead an established finance team covering accounting, invoicing and collections, while identifying opportunities to strengthen processes, controls and reporting.Key responsibilities will include:Leading the day-to-day finance function and managing the existing finance teamTaking ownership of management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysisReviewing and modernising existing financial reports, templates and processesImproving the quality, accuracy and timeliness of financial informationManaging month-end and year-end financial processesProviding meaningful financial insight to the General Manager and senior leadershipMonitoring business performance and identifying financial and commercial risksStrengthening financial controls and governance across the businessOverseeing invoicing, collections and working-capital activitiesPartnering with operational and departmental leaders to improve commercial and financial performanceDeveloping the finance team and creating greater structure, accountability and efficiencySupporting wider transformation and process-improvement initiativesAbout YouWe are looking for an experienced finance professional who combines strong technical capability with a practical, hands-on approach.You will ideally have:A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CMA or equivalent)Significant experience in a Head of Finance, Finance Manager, Financial Controller or similar leadership positionCurrently based in the UAE, with experience managing finance within an operationally complex UAE businessStrong management accounting, reporting, budgeting and forecasting capabilitiesA proven track record of improving reporting processes, templates and financial controlsExperience managing and developing finance teamsStrong commercial awareness and the confidence to challenge senior stakeholdersThe ability to move comfortably between detailed financial work and strategic business discussionsExcellent communication and stakeholder-management skillsThe PersonThis position requires more than technical finance expertise.You will be confident, energetic and commercially minded, with the ability to build strong relationships while constructively challenging established ways of working.You should be comfortable working with senior stakeholders and strong personalities and have the resilience and credibility required to drive meaningful improvements across the organisation.Most importantly, you will be someone who is prepared to roll up your sleeves and take ownership.
