Head of Finance

Key ResponsibilitiesLead all accounting and finance activities across the business, including AP, AR, general ledger, and financial reportingPrepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for leadershipEnsure timely month-end and year-end close processes in accordance with IFRS and UAE regulationsLead annual budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and performance analysisMonitor revenue, profitability, operating expenses, cash flow, working capital, and key business driversManage cash flow forecasting, liquidity, banking relationships, and payment processesEnsure compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, statutory, and regulatory requirementsMaintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures and coordinate annual auditsPartner with leadership and departmental teams on budgeting, cost management, strategic initiatives, partnerships, and growth opportunitiesDevelop scalable finance processes and identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiencySupport the implementation and optimization of finance systems, reporting tools, and KPI dashboardsLead and develop the finance team while ensuring strong financial governance, accuracy, and accountabilityRequirementsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related fieldProfessional qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CPA, CA, or equivalent6–10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including 2–4 years in a finance management or leadership roleExperience within Insurance, InsurTech, FinTech, Financial Services, or Technology sectorsStrong knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT, and UAE Corporate Tax requirementsStrong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial modelling experienceAdvanced Excel and financial analysis skillsStrong commercial acumen with the ability to provide strategic financial insights and support business decision-makingExperience in developing finance processes, controls, and reporting systemsStrong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
