About the job Head of FinanceThe RoleAs the Head of Finance, you will serve as a strategic business partner to the COO and Board of Directors, driving the organization's financial strategy, long-term sustainability, and growth initiatives.Beyond financial governance and reporting, you will play a key role in investment decisions, fundraising, investor engagement, and business planning.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the organization's overall financial strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and long-term growth plans.Manage financial reporting, including monthly management accounts, annual financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.Develop financial models, scenario analyses, and business cases to support strategic initiatives, investments, and expansion opportunities.Partner with the COO and leadership team to evaluate business opportunities, strategic partnerships, investments, and growth initiatives.Prepare investor presentations, financial models, valuation analyses, and due diligence materials for investors, lenders, and strategic partners.Represent the organization in investor meetings, funding discussions, Board presentations, and other high-level stakeholder engagements by providing commercially sound financial insights and recommendations.Present financial performance, forecasts, risks, and strategic recommendations to the Board of Directors and executive leadership.Monitor budgets, cash flow, profitability, and working capital to ensure financial sustainability and effective resource allocation.Maintain financial dashboards and monthly KPI trackings to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.Identify opportunities for cost optimization, operational efficiencies, and long-term value creation.Design and maintain robust internal controls, financial policies, and governance frameworks to ensure compliance, confidentiality, and data integrity.Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team while fostering a high-performance culture.Manage treasury operations, banking relationships, and organizational cash flow.Coordinate with IRD, BOI, Customs, auditors, tax consultants, statutory institutions, banks, and other regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.The PersonFully qualified member of CA Sri Lanka, ACCA, or CIMA, or hold a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline from a recognized university.Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior finance leadership role, preferably within a high-growth, investment-driven, technology, innovation environment.Proven experience supporting CEOs/COOs and Boards with strategic financial planning and commercial decision-making.Demonstrated experience in investor relations, fundraising, corporate finance, financial due diligence, or investment analysis.Strong financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, valuation, and analytical skills.Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial data into strategic business insights.Proven ability to confidently engage with investors, Board members, financial institutions, and senior stakeholders.Leadership experience with the ability to build, mentor, and manage high-performing finance teams.Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, both written and verbal.Strong strategic thinking, planning, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.Experience with QuickBooks (QB) will be an added advantage.Send the CV to; hr@hatch.lk
