Head of Finance

• Shift timing: General shiftRole & responsibilities:
• Own the end-to-end finance function, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, management accounts and overall financial control.
• Manage cash flow, liquidity and working capital, including collections, supplier payments, labour and logistics payments.
• Drive cost control, cost reduction and profitability improvement across farms, packhouse, procurement, logistics and export operations.
• Establish and strengthen internal controls and fraud/loss prevention mechanisms, including reconciliations, stock checks, approval controls and investigation of discrepancies.
• Partner with Operations, Sourcing, Packhouse and Commercial teams on pricing, margins, farm-level profitability and financial decision-making.
• Ensure statutory/tax compliance and audit readiness, while managing external auditors and maintaining accurate financial documentation.
• Lead the finance team and payroll, ensuring accuracy, accountability and control over labour-related costs.
• Provide clear, timely financial insights to the CEO, and manage financial communication with banks, lenders, investors and other key stakeholders.
• Manage and improve ERP, accounting systems, reporting dashboards and finance processes to increase accuracy and reduce manual work.Candidate requirements:
• 5–8 years of finance/accounting experience, including 2–3 years in a senior or managerial position with ownership of finance, reporting or controls.
• ACCA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Experience in agriculture, agri-export, horticulture, manufacturing or FMCG is preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, working capital and financial controls.
• Proven ability to identify cost leakages, reduce costs, improve margins and strengthen financial controls/fraud prevention.
• Experience with statutory compliance and external audits.
• Strong ERP/accounting systems, advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
• Comfortable working directly with CEOs, investors, banks, lenders and auditors.
• Strong ownership, integrity, proactive problem-solving and independent working ability.Selection Process:
