Apply & track with Apply EdgeWe are seeking an accomplished Head of Finance & Accounts to lead our accounting and auditing functions in a fast-growing global payroll company. This role requires a dynamic professional with deep expertise in financial management, statutory compliance, and internal controls. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of financial reporting, audits, and regulatory requirements across multiple geographies.You will be instrumental in ensuring financial integrity and supporting the organizations growth by building robust accounting practices.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee end-to-end accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close processes.Lead and coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with international accounting standards and local regulations in all operating regions.Design and implement effective financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and budgets for strategic decision-making.Ensure statutory and tax compliance across geographies (GCC, APAC, etc.), staying updated on regulatory changes.Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.Develop and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.Support senior management in financial planning, forecasting, and business performance reviews.Partner with operational teams to streamline accounting processes and optimize working capital.RequirementsBachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (Masters degree or MBA preferred).Professional certification such as CA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent is mandatory.Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in accounting and auditing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and global tax and compliance frameworks.Experience in financial management for global payroll, financial services, or multi-country operations is highly desirable.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.Proficiency in ERP and accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or equivalent).
