They are pre-revenue, well-capitalized, and operating under bank-grade regulatory scrutiny.Their new vision is to shape the future of money by combining cutting-edge technology with robust regulatory frameworks, enhancing financial inclusion and delivering real-time, programmable payments.The OpportunityThey are hiring a Head of FP&A to build the financial planning function from the ground up: rigorous spend discipline in a pre-revenue environment, credible forward-looking models for a public-company audience, and the financial acumen to support capital markets activity. This is a hands-on, builder role for someone who wants to shape financial strategy at a regulated fintech.ResponsibilitiesSpend Management & Burn DisciplineOwn the company's burn rate, cash runway modeling, and capital allocation discipline.Build and maintain a rolling budget and forecast process with department heads; hold budget owners accountable to variance.Design spend controls and approval workflows appropriate for a public company.Financial Planning & Strategic AnalysisBuild multi-year financial models (kpi driver based, opex, headcount, product launch economics) to support board- and investor-level decision-making.Implement a new financial planning tool to allow for controls over forecast and rapid scenario analysisTranslate business decisions into financial scenarios and sensitivity analyses.Partner with the executive team on pricing, unit economics, and path-to-revenue planning.Capital Markets & Fundraising SupportSupport Capital Markets activities: modeling and investor materialsPartner with the CFO for Capital Markets and Investor Relations activities, along with the Investor Relations Head Prepare materials supporting quarterly earnings, board decks, and investor updates, working closely with Investor Relations/Legal as applicable.Reporting & GovernanceDeliver monthly/quarterly management reporting packages for the CFO, CEO, and Board.Support SEC reporting cycles (10-Q/10-K, earnings materials) in coordination with Controllership, Legal, and external auditors.Contribute to SOX-aligned financial controls appropriate for FP&A processes.LeadershipBuild and lead an FP&A team supporting an international, multi-entity organization.Act as a thought partner to the CFO and a trusted advisor to functional leaders across Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Partnerships.Establish FP&A as a credible, data-driven function inside a highly regulated business. Required Skills10+ years in FP&A, corporate finance, or related roles, including experience at a public company (a MUST).Direct experience managing burn/runway at a pre-revenue or early-revenue company (startup experience).Demonstrated involvement in capital markets / fundraising activity (equity or debt raises, IPO/de-SPAC support, or similar).Experience building financial planning functions in a regulated industry (fintech, banking, payments, or similar); comfort with SEC/SOX-adjacent reporting cadences.Track record leading finance teams across multiple countries/entities.Strong Excel/financial modeling skills; experience with FP&A tooling (e.g., Adaptive, Anaplan, or similar).High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal judgment; proven ability to build trusted, collaborative relationships with bank partners, processors, and other related third parties.PreferredExperience in Fintech, blockchain, crypto, payments, or high-growth tech. Familiarity with Forecasting for Fintech, Banking/PaymentsCPA, CFA, or MBA
