The role is accountable for long-term planning, budgeting, forecasting, investment appraisal and strategic financial analysis, whilst from times deputising for the CFO across leadership, governance and stakeholder engagements.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes across the organization.Translate strategic objectives into integrated financial plans, scenario analyses, and multi-year forecasts.Provide forward-looking financial insights and recommendations to support executive and board-level decision-making.Partner with senior leadership, operational, and commercial teams to improve revenue, profitability, and operational efficiency.Oversee monthly management reporting, KPI reporting, and executive dashboards, ensuring clear visibility of financial performance and emerging trends.Support major commercial, operational, and organizational decisions through high-quality financial analysis.Lead the development, review, and governance of business cases for strategic initiatives, capital investments, and new projects.Apply financial evaluation methodologies, including ROI, IRR, NPV, and payback analysis.Monitor project and portfolio performance against approved business cases, budgets, and timelines, identifying risks and recommending corrective actions.Oversee workforce planning and cost management initiatives in partnership with HR and business leaders.Act as Deputy CFO when required, providing leadership and support across the wider finance function.Drive finance governance, policy development, and continuous improvement initiatives.Ensure strong alignment between FP&A activities, financial reporting, and business priorities.Mentor and develop finance talent while fostering a high-performance culture.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, SOCPA, or equivalent).8+ years of experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, Commercial Finance, or related finance leadership roles.Proven experience leading budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning within a complex organization.Strong financial modelling, business case development, and investment evaluation capabilities.Demonstrated experience supporting executive leadership teams and strategic decision-making.Strong understanding of financial performance management, reporting, and commercial analysis.Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.Ability to operate effectively with authority, judgment, and discretion at senior leadership level.Experience within aviation, infrastructure, transport, or other capital-intensive industries is highly desirable.We appreciate the interest of all applicants and wish you all the best; only candidates shortlisted for the next stage of the recruitment process will be contacted.
