Role Overview: Ultimate Peaks is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Freight to lead and oversee all freight and logistics operations for our client. This strategic leadership role will drive efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service excellence across the supply chain, ensuring timely and reliable transportation of goods.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement comprehensive freight and logistics strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectivesManage end-to-end freight operations, including inbound, outbound, and cross-border shipmentsNegotiate contracts and build strong relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, and third-party logistics providersOversee transportation planning, routing, and scheduling to optimize delivery times and costsEnsure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and customs requirementsLead a multidisciplinary team, fostering collaboration, performance improvement, and professional developmentMonitor freight KPIs, analyze data to identify trends, and implement continuous improvement initiativesCollaborate closely with procurement, warehouse, sales, and customer service teams to ensure seamless supply chain operationsRequirementsBachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field10+ years of experience in freight management, supply chain operations, or logistics leadership rolesProven track record of managing large-scale freight and transportation operationsStrong knowledge of freight forwarding, shipping regulations, and customs clearance processesExcellent negotiation, vendor management, and stakeholder engagement skillsDemonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teamsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on operational efficiencyFamiliarity with logistics software and freight management systems is a plusFluency in Arabic and English preferred
