Head of FundraisingOur client, a social services non profit located in NYC, is currently looking for a new Head of Fundraising & Philanthropy. Job purposeThe Head of Fundraising will serve as the lead fundraising officer and report to the CEO. He or she targets corporations, foundations, & individuals for major gift cultivation and solicitation. With a good grasp of institutional information, the Head of Philanthropy engages in dialogue with prospects and donors and furthers key relationships with the goal of increasing support for the organization. This role will also have the support of the development team and will mentor and oversee the team.Duties and responsibilitiesAchieve the organization’s overall diversified revenue goalsEnsure the department’s fiscal accountability to budget parameters.Evaluate the success of the development team efforts and provide quarterly updates.Hire and train new development staffQualificationsBachelor’s degree.At least 10 years of progressive fundraising professional responsibility at the leadership level.Clear evidence of measurable fund-raising results with demonstrated ability to secure and cultivate major gifts & corporate sponsors.Proven ability to hire and mentor development professionals.Stature and integrity to work effectively with high-level business and not-for-profit leaders.Knowledge of relevant technology and database management programs.Comfortable with both domestic and international travel for high scale galas.Exceptional communications and relationship-building skills.This role is paying 200k-230k based on experience. This position is based on-site, in the office, 4 days a week.
