We operate 10+ online brands across the USA, UK, Europe, Australia, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, powered by our own proprietary technology platform and a fulfillment network spanning the US, UK, and India. We are not a marketplace or a 3PL. We own the entire chain, from product sourcing to storefront technology to last-mile delivery. For an operations leader, this means you are not optimizing one link; you are shaping the whole system. The RoleWe are hiring a Head of Global Logistics & Last Mile Operations to lead delivery performance, carrier strategy, and shipping cost efficiency across all our markets. This is an L1 (ie. most senior) leadership seat reporting directly to the CEO, with a standing place in our weekly, monthly and quarterly leadership reviews. The role carries direct accountability for key operations metrics: delivery time by lane, shipping cost per order and refunds caused by delivery failure. Everything else in this description exists to move those three numbers. This is the person who wants to know why a package to Germany took nine days instead of five, why a carrier’s RTO rate increased three points this month, and whether a lane should be unbundled into linehaul, clearance, and injection bought directly. You will manage our relationships with our Global Express and regional last-mile partners across the world. Our own ops intelligence system surfaces problems by lane and stage; you will decide what to do about them.Scope of ResponsibilityCarrier & Last-Mile ManagementOwn every carrier relationship across markets: rates, SLAs, quarterly business reviews, and accountability on performance.Manage the carrier mix per lane to optimise the cost–speed–reliability trade-off, and unbundle our largest lanes where direct buying beats the bundled rate.Evaluate and onboard last-mile partners as we enter new geographies; reduce breaches, failed deliveries, and return-to-origin volumes.Data, Analytics & AutomationBuild and run carrier scorecards, delivery SLA tracking, and exception-rate and cost-trend reporting, managed on distributions rather than averages.Systematise and automate logistics operations, using AI tooling where it removes manual work or catches problems earlier. This is a core part of the mandate, not an adjunct.Present a weekly operational review to the CEO with root causes and decisions, not status.Cost & EfficiencyDirect accountability for global shipping cost per order.Identify and execute cost reduction across contracts, routing, packaging, and zone optimisation; maintain rate-card benchmarks across carriers and corridors.Work with Finance to forecast shipping cost and flag variances early.Warehouse & Fulfillment NetworkCoordinate with our fulfillment centres in the US, UK, India and China to ensure a clean handoff from warehouse to last mile.Lead the addition and optimisation of warehouses across jurisdictions as the network expands, including setup and operationalisation.Work with the technology team on order routing logic and carrier allocation rules.Team & Cross-Functional LeadershipCandidate Profile10+ years in cross-border B2C parcel logistics: a D2C brand at serious volume, a cross-border e-commerce operator, or the e-commerce book of a global express carrier.Demonstrated ownership of a multi-carrier, multi-country shipping cost line, with results you can quantify.Deep understanding of last-mile economics: cost per shipment, delivery-attempt rates, zone surcharges, dimensional weight, and customs clearance times.Analytically rigorous: you pull the data yourself, think in percentiles, and question numbers rather than report them.Fluent with AI tools and automation for operational improvement. This is a requirement, not a differentiator.Player-coach: comfortable leading a team while remaining close enough to the detail to open the tracking data on a bad lane.Clear, structured communicator, able to present to the leadership team in the morning and resolve a carrier escalation in the afternoon.Based in Mumbai and able to work full-time from our Bandra West office. This role is not a fit if you need a large team and an established playbook in place to operate effectively. What We OfferGlobal Scope - the opportunity to travel globally and lead a diverse teamDirect ownership of a function that touches every order we ship, reporting to the CEO.A seat in the weekly leadership review and a mandate to rebuild the function.
