This role is for one of Weekday's clientsSalary range: Rs 1400000 - Rs 1600000 (ie INR 14 - 16 LPA)Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, IndiaJobType: full-time (Monday to Saturday, 10:00am to 07:00pm)Experiences: 12-15 years.Languages: English, Kannada, Telugu and MalayalamThe Head of Operations will oversee the end-to-end transaction process across multiple states, ensuring gold buying, processing, and sales are executed with accuracy, transparency, and efficiency. This role will provide strategic leadership to Gold Processing Managers, drive operational discipline across the network, and ensure robust data-driven reporting to support business decisions and compliance.Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Operations Leadership:Lead, manage, and mentor Gold Processing Managers across multiple statesOversee the gold transaction process — collection, verification, processing, certification, and salesEnsure uniformity and adherence to SOPs across all operational units Transaction Process Oversight:Monitor secure gold movement from branches to state hubs and Head OfficeEnsure accuracy in gold weight, billing, stone removal, melting, and purity certificationSupervise market transactions for selling gold to bidders, ensuring optimal returns Data & Reporting:Collect and consolidate transaction data from different statesPerform analysis and comparison of volumes, discrepancies, processing times, and sales performanceGenerate MIS and analytical reports for management to track efficiency, trends, and risks Compliance & Risk Management:Ensure all operations comply with statutory, audit, and company policiesDrive security protocols in handling and movement of goldIdentify risks in transaction handling and implement corrective measures Strategic Contribution:Provide insights to management on operational efficiency, market trends, and process improvementsSupport the company's expansion strategy by standardizing operations for scaleCollaborate with Finance, HR, and Business Development teams for cross-functional alignmentKey Skills & Competencies:Proven leadership and multi-state operations managementDeep understanding of gold buying, processing, and sales transactionsStrong analytical and data-driven decision-making skillsIntegrity, confidentiality, and accountability in handling high-value transactionsExcellent people management and communication skillsQualifications & Experience:Graduate / Postgraduate in Business, Commerce, or Operations Management12-15 years of experience in operations, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role in the gold/precious metals/financial services/retail industryExperience managing multi-location/state-level operationsStrong track record in data analysis, reporting, and process standardizationMust-have skillsGold Buying, Processing & Transaction Operations, complianceGood-to-have skillsMIS & Data Analytics, Process Standardisation & Improvement, Cross-Functional & Team Leadership
