Head of Human Resources (Renewable Energy & Data Centres)Our client is an established international business operating across renewable energy and data center infrastructure, with a growing presence across Asia.As the business expands across Southeast Asia over the next 4–5 years, it is seeking a Head of Human Resources to build and scale the regional HR function. This is an opportunity to shape the people strategy, establish HR frameworks, and develop the talent needed to support growth across two dynamic sectors.This highly hands-on generalist role will partner closely with senior leadership to support corporate, engineering, technical, operational, and project-based teams. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a growing environment where structures are still being developed, balancing strategic priorities with practical execution.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and scale HR policies, systems, and frameworks across Southeast Asian operations.Partner with senior leadership on workforce planning and organizational design to support renewable energy projects and data center development and operations.Build recruitment and talent strategies to attract specialist engineering, technical, operational, and corporate talent.Lead learning and development initiatives that strengthen leadership capabilities, technical expertise, and operational effectiveness.Establish career pathways, succession plans, and talent development frameworks to build sustainable leadership and specialist talent pipelines.Develop performance management frameworks that drive accountability, recognize contribution, and align individual objectives with business priorities.Support organizational development, change management, and cultural integration as the business expands across markets and project locations.Develop engagement and retention strategies for diverse teams, including site-based employees and critical technical talent.Work with operational leaders to embed a strong culture of safety, reliability, and effective execution.Use workforce analytics, HR metrics, and talent insights to guide manpower planning and business decisions.Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on organizational, talent, employee relations, and people matters.Ensure compliance with local employment requirements while establishing consistent and pragmatic regional HR practices.

Key Qualifications

10–15 years of progressive HR experience, including regional responsibilities across Asia, ideally Southeast Asia.Strong generalist HR background, with expertise in talent management, learning and development, organisational development, and performance management.Demonstrated experience building or significantly developing HR functions, policies, and frameworks within a growing business.Experience in renewable energy, data centres, power, utilities, engineering, or related infrastructure sectors would be highly advantageous.Familiarity with the talent needs of engineering, technical, operational, and project-based workforces.Experience supporting regional expansion, project delivery, workforce scaling, or organisational transformation.Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to advise senior leadership and work effectively with operational teams.A practical, adaptable approach and the willingness to take ownership of both strategic initiatives and day-to-day HR delivery.
