Head of Information Technology & Security | Healthcare ServicesPE-Backed Physician Services Organization Boca Raton, FL | Five days onsite $175,000 to $185,000 base plus bonus, approximately $200,000 total compensationThe OpportunityA growing, private equity backed physician services company that provides specialty clinical coverage to hospitals across the country is hiring its first senior technology leader. The business got to its current size on systems and processes that were put in place as it grew. It now needs someone to own technology end to end and build an environment that can support the company’s next phase of high growth and expansion.This is broader than a traditional infrastructure or security leadership role. Today the company runs on several systems that don't talk to each other, with manual handoffs in between, and no one owns the technology function as a whole. On day one you take over the MSP relationship, own uptime and security, and serve as HIPAA Security Officer. The bigger job is understanding how the business works from the clinical encounter through billing, and fixing the delays through integration, automation, and process changes.What You'll DoLearn the core workflows across clinical operations, encounter management, and billing, and find where disconnected systems and manual steps are slowing the business downOwn the technology roadmap and lead the projects that fix those problems, whether that means integrating systems, automating steps, redesigning a process, or changing an applicationLead integrations between the company's systems and the hospitals it serves, working with outside integration partnersReview the application portfolio and decide what stays, what gets connected, what gets consolidated, and what gets replacedOwn the MSP and vendor relationships, the IT budget, service levels, and delivery, and serve as HIPAA Security Officer with business continuity and disaster recovery responsibility for a 24/7 clinical operationSet the direction for data, reporting, analytics, and AI as the function growsWhat We're Looking ForTechnology leadership inside a healthcare operating company: hospital or health system, physician group, specialty practice, physician services, or healthcare servicesA record of improving how a business runs through technology, ideally somewhere that was growing fast, short on resources, or bothWorking knowledge of healthcare applications, clinical workflows, and revenue cycle, including EHR, practice management, charge capture, clearinghouse, and RCM dataExperience leading integrations between healthcare systems that weren't built to work togetherExperience managing an MSP and outside technology vendors from the client sideEnough breadth across infrastructure, applications, security, and support to oversee those areas through partnersWorking knowledge of the HIPAA Security Rule and experience running or maintaining a regulated security program7+ years of progressive technology experience, including responsibility for IT operations in a regulated environmentPreferred ExperienceLeading AI or automation adoption in an operating environmentModern Microsoft stack (M365, Entra, endpoint management) and security tooling (EDR/MDR, firewall)Data platform, reporting, or analytics projectsSecurity certification (CISSP, HCISPP, CISM, Security+) a plus, not requiredThis is a hands-on leadership role with no internal team to start and the chance to build the technology function as the company scales. You'll work directly with the executive team and the investor group and have a real say in where technology goes from here.
