Head Of Information Technology / CTO

As we continue to grow within the electric vehicle charging ecosystem, we are looking for a Head of Information Technology / CTO to lead our technology organization and shape our technology strategy in line with our business and growth objectives.We are looking for a technology leader who goes beyond managing systems and technology operations, who works closely with commercial and operational teams, translates business needs into technology priorities, and can shape the technology organization and capabilities required for Ovolt’s next stage of growth.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnology Strategy & RoadmapDefine and continuously evolve Ovolt’s technology strategy and roadmap in line with the company’s business and growth objectives.Assess the existing system architecture and technology infrastructure, identifying transformation and improvement opportunities.Stay current with emerging technologies and industry developments and identify opportunities that can create tangible value for the business.Translate business needs into technology solutions and prioritize technology initiatives and investments accordingly.Product & Technology ManagementLead the development, scalability, and long-term sustainability of Ovolt’s EV charging technology infrastructure and digital products.Oversee software development, product management, business analysis, and quality assurance processes.Ensure technology projects are delivered in line with agreed scope, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.Establish and maintain standards for system and product performance, security, availability, and scalability.Ensure a reliable and resilient technology infrastructure while proactively managing operational risks and improvement needs.Technology Organization & Team LeadershipDevelop the technology organization’s structure, capabilities, and ways of working in line with evolving business needs.Set clear objectives, monitor team performance, and foster a strong, collaborative technology culture.Enable effective collaboration and coordination across technology teams.Business Partnership & Stakeholder ManagementPartner closely with Product, Operations, Sales, Finance, and other business functions to align technology priorities with business needs and company objectives.Build strong alignment between business and technology teams, ensuring that technology decisions support commercial and operational priorities.Represent Ovolt in engagements with technology partners and other external stakeholders when required.Budget, Performance & ReportingDevelop and manage the technology budget and investment plans.Monitor the performance and business impact of technology projects and investments.Provide senior management with regular and clear updates on technology performance, key projects, risks, investment needs, and roadmap progress. QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related field.Significant experience in technology and/or software environments, including proven leadership and team management experience.Strong technical understanding and experience across the software development lifecycle, system and software architecture, APIs and system integrations, databases, cloud technologies, and CI/CD practices.Experience in e-mobility, EV charging, or the energy sector is highly preferred, particularly knowledge and/or experience with charging systems, OCPP/OCPI protocols, and high-transaction-volume digital platforms.Proven experience in defining technology strategies and translating business objectives into technology roadmaps and priorities.Strong experience in technology portfolio prioritization, resource planning, and investment decision-making.Experience leading organizations through transformation, change, and scale-up phases.Demonstrated leadership in building teams, developing talent, and fostering a strong technology culture.A strategic mindset combined with the ability to engage with operational and technical details when needed.Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, prioritization, and decision-making capabilities.Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior management.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective collaboration between technology and business teams.If you are excited about building technology that supports the future of energy and mobility and want to play a key role in Ovolt’s next stage of growth, we would love to hear from you.
