The role owns the full technology landscape, from campus networks and infrastructure to student information and ERP systems, learning platforms, cybersecurity, IT service delivery, and digital transformation.Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Head of IT works closely with Group leadership, principals, campus administrators, and the finance, HR, and admissions teams to ensure technology enables academic excellence, operational efficiency, and a seamless experience for students, parents, faculty, and staff.The role also carries direct accountability for the complete IT setup of the Group's upcoming school campuses at Purbachal and Uttara, ensuring both are fully technology-ready ahead of launch.Key ResponsibilitiesIT Strategy & Digital TransformationDevelop and own a 3–5 year Group IT strategy and annual roadmap aligned with business goals across Glenrich, ISD, and UCBD.Lead digitization of academic and administrative processes, including admissions, attendance, examinations, fee collection, HR/payroll, library, transport, and hostel management.Establish IT governance frameworks, policies, and standards applied consistently across campuses while accommodating national curriculum, IB, and university requirements.Evaluate and pilot emerging EdTech, AI-in-education, and campus-management technologies, advising leadership on adoption.Infrastructure, Network & OperationsOversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of network, server, cloud, telephony, CCTV/security, and Wi-Fi infrastructure across all campuses.Maintain high availability of critical systems (ERP, SIS, LMS, email, and internet connectivity) against defined SLAs for each campus.Manage the Group's cloud infrastructure and/or data center, balancing cost, scalability, and performance.Design, implement, and periodically test disaster recovery and business continuity plans for mission-critical systems.Academic & Campus ApplicationsDirect the selection, implementation, and continuous improvement of SIS/ERP platforms covering admissions, academics, attendance, examinations, fees, and reporting, configured for K-12, IB, and higher-education models.Oversee LMS and digital classroom platforms in partnership with academic leadership to support blended and online learning.Ensure ISD's technology environment meets IB World School requirements, including managed assessment, platforms such as ManageBac or Toddle, and IB data reporting.Support UCBD's university-specific needs, including course registration, credit and grading systems, faculty portals, plagiarism-detection tools, and accreditation reporting.Partner with Finance and HR to implement and maintain shared ERP modules for payroll, procurement, and accounting.Cybersecurity, Data Protection & ComplianceDesign and enforce a Group-wide cybersecurity framework covering network security, endpoint protection, access control, and incident response.Protect sensitive student, parent, faculty, and staff data in line with applicable Bangladesh data protection regulations and international good practice, including IB and international data-sharing requirements.Conduct periodic IT security audits and vulnerability assessments, ensuring compliance with the Ministry of Education, UGC, IBO, and other relevant bodies.Develop and enforce acceptable-use, data-retention, and child online safety policies suited to K-12 and higher-education environments.Budget & Vendor ManagementPrepare and manage the annual Group IT budget (capex and opex), ensuring cost-effective procurement and optimal resource utilization.Negotiate and manage contracts with ISPs, hardware and software vendors, cloud providers, and EdTech partners, consolidating vendors to achieve Group-wide economies of scale.Track and report the return on investment of major technology initiatives to Group leadership.Team Leadership & Stakeholder ManagementBuild, lead, and develop a high-performing Group IT team, including campus IT leads, network and infrastructure engineers, application specialists, and helpdesk staff.Establish a responsive helpdesk and support model with clear SLAs for students, parents, teachers, and staff.Serve as the primary technology advisor to the CEO and Board, working closely with Heads of School, UCBD leadership, academic coordinators, and administrative heads.Drive user adoption of new systems through training, communication, and change-management programmes.New Campus Development – Purbachal & UttaraOwn the end-to-end IT setup of both new campuses, from planning to go-live, in coordination with project, construction, academic, and administration teams.Plan and implement structured cabling, LAN/Wi-Fi, server rooms, telephony/intercom, CCTV and access control, biometric attendance, public-address, and smart-classroom/AV systems in line with Group technology standards.Prepare IT bills of quantities (BOQs), evaluate and select vendors and system integrators, and manage procurement and installation timelines.Configure, test, and commission SIS/ERP, LMS, attendance, CCTV, and other campus systems ahead of each academic launch date.Develop an IT project plan with milestones and budget, track progress, flag risks early, and report regularly to Group leadership.Deploy on-site IT support, document network and systems architecture, and manage a smooth transition from project mode to steady-state operations.QualificationsEducationRequired:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.Preferred:Relevant professional certifications.Experience12–15 years of progressive IT experience, including at least 5 years in a senior IT leadership role such as Head of IT, IT Director, or equivalent.Education-sector experience strongly preferred, managing IT for schools, an IB or international curriculum institution, and/or a university.Demonstrated experience managing IT across multiple sites, campuses, or business units simultaneously.Proven track record leading ERP/SIS implementations, network infrastructure projects, and cybersecurity programmes.Experience managing IT budgets, vendor contracts, and cross-functional teams of 15+ staff.Skills & CompetenciesTechnical SkillsEnterprise networking, server and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), and virtualization.ERP/SIS platforms and academic technology, including LMS, IB-specific platforms, and examination and assessment systems.Cybersecurity frameworks, data protection principles, and IT governance and compliance.Database management, systems integration (APIs), and business intelligence and reporting tools.IT service management, including helpdesk tools, SLA management, and disaster recovery planning.Leadership & Behavioural CompetenciesStrategic thinking, with the ability to translate business and academic goals into technology roadmaps.Strong stakeholder management with academic leaders (Principals, IB Coordinators, University Deans) as well as finance, HR, and operations teams.Excellent communication and presentation skills, including explaining technical matters to non-technical audiences and the Board.Team leadership, coaching, and talent development across a distributed, multi-campus workforce.High integrity and discretion, given access to sensitive student, staff, and institutional data.Strong project management and vendor negotiation skills.Working ConditionsBased at STS Group's Dhaka head office, with frequent travel to Glenrich campuses, ISD, and UCBD.Extended hours may be required during peak periods such as admissions, examinations, system migrations, and academic year start-up.On-call availability for critical system incidents affecting
