Head of Information Technology (Kluang-based)

About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Information Technology to lead the organization's technology function and drive digital transformation initiatives across the business.The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing the overall IT strategy, ensuring the reliability and security of enterprise systems, optimizing business processes through technology, and leading a high-performing IT team to support organizational growth and operational excellence.This role will work closely with senior leadership and business stakeholders to align technology investments with business objectives while ensuring scalability, governance, cybersecurity, and continuous innovation.Key ResponsibilitiesIT Strategy & LeadershipDevelop and execute the company's IT strategy and technology roadmap.Align technology initiatives with business objectives and long-term growth plans.Serve as a trusted technology advisor to senior leadership.Lead, mentor, and develop the IT team to achieve business and operational goals.Establish and maintain IT governance frameworks, policies, and standards.Infrastructure & OperationsOversee enterprise IT infrastructure, networks, servers, cloud platforms, data centers, and end-user computing environments.Ensure high availability, performance, reliability, and scalability of all technology systems.Manage IT service delivery, incident management, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.Drive continuous improvement across IT operations and support functions.Cybersecurity & Risk ManagementDevelop and maintain cybersecurity strategies, policies, and controls.Ensure compliance with internal governance requirements and applicable regulations.Oversee risk assessments, vulnerability management, security monitoring, and incident response activities.Lead disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives.Digital Transformation & Business SolutionsLead digital transformation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and business performance.Drive adoption of emerging technologies, automation, analytics, AI, cloud services, and Industry 4.0 solutions where applicable.Collaborate with business leaders to identify opportunities for process improvement and technology enablement.Oversee enterprise systems including ERP, MES, CRM, HRIS, and other business applications.Vendor & Budget ManagementManage IT budgets, procurement activities, and technology investments.Establish and maintain effective relationships with technology vendors and service providers.Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance to ensure value and service quality.RequirementsEducationBachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.Master's Degree is an added advantage.ExperienceMinimum 15 years of IT experience with at least 5 years in a senior IT leadership role.Proven experience leading enterprise-wide IT operations and technology strategy.Experience managing infrastructure, cybersecurity, applications, and service delivery functions.Strong background in digital transformation and enterprise systems implementation.Experience managing IT budgets, vendors, and cross-functional teams.Manufacturing, industrial, or multinational environment experience would be advantageous.Technical KnowledgeIT Infrastructure & OperationsCloud Technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP)Cybersecurity & Risk ManagementERP/MES/Business ApplicationsDisaster Recovery & Business ContinuityNetwork & Systems ArchitectureData Analytics & AutomationIT Governance Frameworks (ITIL, ISO 27001, COBIT)Leadership CompetenciesStrategic thinking and business acumenStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsTeam leadership and talent developmentChange management and transformation leadershipProblem-solving and decision-making capabilities
