Location: Boston Metro Area | HybridEmployment Type: Full-TimeCompensation: $127,000 - $190,000 base salary + 20% target annual bonusAbout OpportunityOur client is a global industrial/manufacturing organization with a significant North American presence and a multi-site operating environment.The organization is seeking an experienced Head of Information Technology, North America to provide strategic technology leadership across its North American operations. This executive-level position will serve as a key technology advisor to senior leadership while partnering closely with a global IT organization to translate business priorities into a scalable, secure, and high-performing technology environment.This is an opportunity for a strategic and commercially minded IT leader who can operate comfortably at both the executive and operational levels—developing technology strategy while ensuring strong execution across infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, digital transformation, and IT governance.Position SummaryThe Head of Information Technology, North America will develop and execute the regional IT strategy in alignment with broader business and global technology objectives.The role will provide leadership across a multi-site environment and will be responsible for technology strategy, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, infrastructure, IT governance, digital transformation, vendor management, and continuous improvement.The successful candidate will be an influential business partner who can communicate effectively with executive leadership, technical teams, and business stakeholders while leading technology transformation in a complex, global organization.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute a multi-year North American IT strategy and technology roadmap aligned with business objectives.Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on technology strategy, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, automation, and digital transformation.Represent North American business requirements and priorities within the broader global IT organization.Establish and lead IT governance, budgeting, technology roadmaps, vendor management, and service-performance processes.Ensure secure, scalable, reliable, and highly available IT infrastructure across multiple operating locations.Provide leadership for enterprise applications, including ERP, Microsoft 365, HRIS, collaboration, communications, and other business-critical platforms.Lead cybersecurity, disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident-response capabilities.Assess and strengthen the organization's overall cybersecurity maturity and technology risk posture.Lead IT due diligence, technology integration, and post-acquisition activities associated with mergers and acquisitions.Lead, develop, and retain internal IT talent while effectively managing third-party technology partners and service providers.Drive adoption of emerging technologies, automation, and AI-enabled productivity solutions that improve business performance.Establish meaningful IT KPIs and service metrics and communicate performance, risks, and priorities to executive leadership.Foster a culture of accountability, service excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline; Master's degree preferred.10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including at least 5 years leading multi-site IT organizations.Experience within a manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or similarly operationally complex environment preferred.Demonstrated success developing and executing enterprise technology strategies and digital transformation initiatives.Strong experience with cybersecurity, infrastructure, enterprise applications, and IT governance.Experience working within a global organization and matrixed reporting environment.Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders at the executive level.Experience leading technology integration activities associated with acquisitions is strongly preferred.Technical & Technology ExperienceExperience with several of the following is expected:Microsoft 365AzureEntra IDIntuneMicrosoft DefenderERP platforms; Cisco/Meraki networkingVMware or Hyper-VCloud infrastructure and identity managementCybersecurity frameworks, including NIST and/or CISITIL principles and service managementVendor and technology partner managementProject and technology portfolio managementPower BI and data-driven reportingAI-enabled productivity and automation toolsLeadership ProfileThe successful candidate will bring:Executive presence and the ability to influence senior leadership.Strong business acumen and financial management skills.Strategic thinking combined with a hands-on, execution-oriented approach.Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.Proven change leadership and organizational influence.Data-driven decision-making capabilities.High emotional intelligence and collaborative leadership.Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.The ability to balance global technology standards with regional business needs.First 12 Months - Measures of SuccessDuring the first year, the successful candidate will be expected to:Establish and deliver a clear North American IT strategy and technology roadmap.Strengthen cybersecurity maturity, disaster recovery, and business continuity capabilities.Standardize IT governance, reporting, and performance measurement.Improve business satisfaction with IT services and technology support.Establish strong relationships with senior business leaders and global IT stakeholders.Successfully support technology integration activities associated with acquisitions and other strategic initiatives.Why This OpportunityThis is a high-impact technology leadership position with significant visibility across a complex North American operation.
