Head of Infrastructure

Role Description The Head of Infrastructure at مكتب تدريب الخريجين بجامعة طرابلس will oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s technology infrastructure in a part-time, remote capacity. This role includes managing servers, networks, and cloud services to ensure reliability, scalability, and security of all systems that support training and administrative activities. The Head of Infrastructure will coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements, prioritize initiatives, and ensure that IT services align with organizational goals. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring system performance, managing network security measures, directing incident response and problem resolution, and maintaining documentation of infrastructure architecture and processes. The role also involves guiding technology roadmaps, contributing to budget planning for IT resources, and providing leadership and mentorship to technical team members or external vendors.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Infrastructure skills, including experience with servers, networks, cloud platforms, and system architecture.Candidates should possess IT Service Management skills, such as incident management, change management, and service delivery in line with established frameworks (e.g., ITIL).Candidates should possess Team Leadership skills, including the ability to coordinate technical staff or vendors, delegate tasks, and promote collaboration in a remote environment.Candidates should possess Network Security skills, including implementation of security controls, monitoring for threats, and ensuring compliance with security best practices.Candidates should possess Project Management skills, including planning, prioritizing, and delivering infrastructure initiatives on time and within scope.Relevant qualifications may include a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.Professional certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CISSP, CCNP, or cloud provider certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) are beneficial.Ability to work independently, communicate clearly in English and Arabic, and manage part-time remote responsibilities across multiple stakeholders.
