Head of Infrastructure

Role Description The Head of Infrastructure will oversee the planning, operation, and continuous improvement of the organization’s technology infrastructure in a part-time capacity. This hybrid role is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with a mix of on-site presence and work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing infrastructure performance and availability, coordinating IT service delivery, and ensuring secure and resilient network environments. The role involves leading and mentoring the infrastructure team, prioritizing and executing projects, and collaborating with stakeholders to align technology solutions with business objectives. The Head of Infrastructure will also define standards, monitor compliance, manage vendors, and drive optimization and cost-effectiveness across infrastructure services.Qualifications Strong background in Infrastructure management, including servers, storage, cloud services, and enterprise networks.Experience in IT Service Management practices, such as incident, problem, change, and capacity management.Proven Team Leadership skills, with the ability to mentor, motivate, and coordinate multidisciplinary technical teams.Demonstrated expertise in Network Security, including firewalls, access control, monitoring, and compliance with security standards.Solid Project Management skills for planning, executing, and delivering infrastructure initiatives on time and within budget.Relevant academic background in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISSP, CCNP, cloud certifications) are an advantage.Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, manage multiple priorities, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Experience in designing scalable, highly available infrastructure and familiarity with cloud platforms and virtualization technologies.
