Head of Laboratory

‏⁦About the roleWe are seeking an experienced Head of Laboratory to lead and manage laboratory operations across all our branches — ensuring accurate and timely diagnostic services, full quality and accreditation compliance, strong team leadership, and efficient, cost-effective operations.Key responsibilities• Lead, develop and manage the laboratory team across all branches — staffing, training, competency, performance and workload planning.• Lead and supervise all laboratory sections (Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, etc.).• Implement and maintain internal Quality Control (QC) and external quality assurance / proficiency testing (EQA) programs.• Ensure regulatory compliance and accreditation (CBAHI, ISO 15189 / CAP where applicable, CCHI, SCFHS, MOH).• Oversee analyzers and equipment — maintenance, calibration, procurement, and LIS integration with the HIS.• Manage turnaround time (TAT), the test menu, reagent/inventory, and cost control.• Conduct workload analysis and align staffing/shifts to demand across branches.• Ensure biosafety, infection control, and laboratory safety standards.• Grow in-house testing and reduce send-outs; report laboratory KPIs to management.Qualifications• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent — applicant must be a Medical Doctor (Physician).• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Laboratory Medicine, Clinical Pathology, Medical Microbiology, Hematology, or another relevant laboratory medical specialty.• Valid Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) classification and registration as a Physician – Registrar (نائب) in a relevant laboratory medical specialty or higher.• Minimum 7 years of relevant laboratory experience, including at least 3 years in a laboratory leadership or supervisory role.• Strong knowledge of laboratory QC/QA and accreditation standards (CBAHI / ISO 15189 / CAP where applicable).• Proven team-leadership, laboratory operations, workload/staffing management and cost-control skills.• Fluent in Arabic and English.How to apply: Apply via LinkedIn or send your CV to HR email (hr@alahmady.med.sa)
