Laboratory DirectorCellgenic | Cancún, Mexico | On-siteAbout the RoleCellgenic is seeking an experienced Laboratory Director to lead its fully equipped laboratory in Cancún, Mexico. This role combines scientific leadership, team management, and operational oversight to support reliable production, rigorous quality standards, and the continued development of the laboratory.We are looking for a professional with demonstrated experience managing biotechnology or cell biology laboratories and working with multiple cell types and lineages.Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily laboratory operations, production planning, and scientific priorities.
• Manage, mentor, and develop the scientific and technical team.
• Oversee cell culture, expansion, and related laboratory processes.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, established procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Maintain complete documentation, traceability, and accurate laboratory records.
• Coordinate equipment readiness, inventory, and resource allocation.
• Guide process improvements and the introduction of new laboratory capabilities.Qualifications
• Degree in biology, biotechnology, biomedical sciences, or a related discipline. An advanced degree is preferred.
• Proven experience in laboratory management, with direct responsibility for teams and operations.
• Substantial hands-on experience with multiple cell types and lineages.
• Strong understanding of quality control, quality assurance, and laboratory documentation.
• Familiarity with COFEPRIS requirements and applicable laboratory standards.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
