Head of Legal & Governance, Risk & Compliance

We are seeking an experienced Head of Legal & Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) to lead and strengthen the organization’s legal, governance, risk, and compliance functions.Key Responsibilities:• Lead and enhance governance, risk, compliance, and legal frameworks across the organization and its subsidiaries.• Develop and improve policies, controls, approval matrices, charters, and internal frameworks.• Establish and maintain the enterprise risk register and oversee mitigation actions.• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and contractual obligations.• Provide practical legal advice on commercial, operational, employment, regulatory, and corporate matters.• Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on contracts, legal documents, claims, notices, and other sensitive matters.• Manage external legal counsel and support disputes, investigations, settlements, and pre-litigation matters.• Provide legal and GRC support for strategic transactions, partnerships, restructuring, joint ventures, and investments.• Strengthen internal controls and address governance and compliance gaps.• Promote legal, risk, and compliance awareness across the organization.Qualifications & Experience:• Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field.• Relevant professional certifications or postgraduate qualifications are preferred.• Significant experience in Legal, Governance, Risk & Compliance roles.• Strong background in legal advisory, contracts, compliance, governance, and enterprise risk management.• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, negotiation, and advisory skills.• High level of integrity, confidentiality, professionalism, and sound business judgment.Key Success Measures:• Effective governance and compliance framework.• Timely and high-quality legal and GRC support.• Effective management and closure of risks and compliance gaps.• Reduction of legal and contractual exposure.• Strong compliance culture and awareness.
