Head of Legal, APAC

Your new company We are partnering with a well-capitalised, high-growth business operating at the intersection of digital infrastructure, energy, and artificial intelligence. As the business continues to scale its regional footprint, it is seeking an experienced legal leader to join its executive team as Head of Legal, Asia Pacific. Your new role Lead all legal matters across Asia Pacific and serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, Board, and executive leadership team.Develop and implement the regional legal strategy to support the company's growth objectives and long-term business plans.Advise on key legal, regulatory, governance, compliance, and risk management matters.Support regional growth initiatives, including market entry strategies, expansion projects, strategic partnerships, and joint ventures.Lead the legal aspects of complex commercial negotiations and high-value customer agreements.Provide legal support on infrastructure development, construction, procurement, and operational matters.Oversee corporate governance, entity management, and legal operations across multiple jurisdictions.Manage and coordinate external legal counsel throughout the region.Support mergers and acquisitions, investments, project financings, and other strategic transactions.Partner closely with finance, compliance, operations, and commercial teams to facilitate effective risk management and business execution.Build, develop, and scale the regional legal function in line with the company's continued growth. What you'll need to succeed Approximately 10-20+ years' PQE gained within leading international law firms and/or sophisticated multinational organisations.Proven experience advising senior executives and boards on strategic business matters.Strong commercial mindset with the ability to balance legal risk against business objectives.Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and business partnering skills.Experience leading complex negotiations, commercial transactions, and cross-border projects.Strong leadership capabilities with experience building, mentoring, and managing legal teams.Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and evolving business environment.Experience within digital infrastructure, data centres, technology, cloud computing, telecommunications, energy, infrastructure, or related sectors would be highly advantageous.Prior experience supporting regional or international businesses across multiple jurisdictions is preferred.
