As part of this evolution, the current General Counsel is transitioning into a broader business leadership role, creating an opportunity for a legal leader to take ownership of the legal function and help shape the next stage of growth.This role offers a rare chance to work directly alongside an experienced leadership team in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment where legal is viewed as a strategic business partner rather than a support function.The RoleReporting closely to the executive team, you will lead all legal matters across the business, advising on a broad range of commercial, regulatory and corporate issues. You will play a key role in enabling business growth, navigating regulatory developments and supporting strategic initiatives as the company scales.Key responsibilities will include:Acting as the primary legal adviser to the business and senior leadership teamSupporting commercial negotiations and strategic partnershipsAdvising on regulatory matters and risk management frameworksSupporting fundraising activities, and wider strategic projectsManaging external counsel relationships where requiredBuilding and developing the legal function in line with the company's growth trajectoryCandidate ProfileWe are interested in speaking with lawyers who have:A minimum of 5 years' PQEStrong commercial legal and business partnering skillsExperience working within a technology, fintech or high-growth environmentA proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced scale-up settingExperience in any of the following would be particularly advantageous:Digital assets, blockchain or crypto-related mattersFinancial services regulation and regulatory engagementSupporting venture-backed or early-stage growth companies through periods of rapid expansion and fundraisingThe OpportunityThis is an exceptional opportunity to join a well-funded business at a transformative stage of its development.
