Apply & track with Apply EdgeJOB SUMMARY:The Head of Legal owns the company's legal, risk, compliance, government relations, and investor relations functions end-to-end. The role proactively identifies and resolves legal/operational risk, builds strategic government relationships, and leads IR to enhance transparency and corporate value.RESPONSIBILITIES:Legal, Risk & Compliance StrategyOwn the company's legal, risk & compliance framework end-to-end, aligned with the Company's overall strategic direction.Assess legal and operational risks of new business initiatives, products, and commercial models; propose mitigation solutions.Represent the Company with external counsel or authorities on disputes, inspections, and litigation of matters.Legal, Risk & Compliance OperationsProactively identify, assess, and monitor risks across business units; drive corrective actions to full closure, not just flag-and-hand-off.Partner directly and continuously with business/operations teams to embed compliance into day-to-day operations.Review, draft, negotiate, and standardize commercial, partnership, and investment contracts and other key legal documents.Review, approve, and advise on critical legal submissions and compliance filings prior to executive sign-off.Legal Performance & Capability ManagementBuild and elevate the legal/risk team's capability, establishing clear ownership and escalation discipline.Lead internal training and communication to build an organization-wide compliance culture.Track and analyze compliance performance and propose improvement solutions.Government Relations & Public PolicyDevelop, expand, and maintain strategic relationships with government agencies at central and provincial levels.Represent the Company in discussions with regulators, industry associations, and public organizations.Monitor and analyze regulatory/policy developments; evaluate implications and propose strategic responses.Support crisis management involving regulatory bodies, coordinating with the Communications team.Investor RelationsDevelop and execute investor relations strategies, ensuring alignment between corporate strategy and investor expectations.Prepare investor communication materials (earnings updates, financial/ operational reports, shareholder meeting presentations).Coordinate with Finance and Strategy teams to support fundraising, capital restructuring, M&A, and strategic partnerships.Resource Development, Budget & ReportingRecruit, train, and develop succession planning for the legal/risk & compliance team.Plan and control the department's budget.Prepare periodic/ad-hoc reports for senior leadership.Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor's degree in Law required; Lawyer License or Master's in Law/ MBA is an advantage.Major: Law, Commercial/Business Law.Experience: Minimum 8–12 years in corporate legal, risk & compliance, government relations, or investor relations; at least 3 years in a managerial role with proven ownership of a legal/compliance or risk function.Skills: Strong understanding of corporate law, commercial transactions, investment regulations, governance, and regulatory frameworks in digital/transport/fintech/e-commerce sectors. Proficiency in English and Vietnamese (written and verbal); experience working with foreign investors is a strong advantageOther Requirements: High integrity, strategic thinking, business partnership mindset, maturity, and resilience under pressure.
