Optimize Search Group has been retained by a specialized financial services client to find their first in-house Head of Legal.This is a newly created executive role in Dallas with a true seat at the leadership table and an opportunity to shape the legal, regulatory, compliance, and risk infrastructure supporting significant growth.Ideal Background:12+ years of legal experience, including significant in-house or senior legal leadership experienceStrong financial services regulatory and compliance experienceExperience building or standing up an in-house legal functionStrong background in contracts, corporate governance, risk management, compliance, and business transactionsAbility to serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive team while remaining hands-onCommercial mindset with the ability to balance legal/regulatory requirements with business growthExperience managing outside counsel and determining when to build capabilities internallyMust be local to Dallas (out of area candidates are not being considered at this time)This is an opportunity for a builder and strategic business partner who wants to create the legal function, establish the infrastructure, and play a meaningful role in the organization’s next phase of growth.
