Apply & track with Apply EdgeLead the strategic development and promotion of investment initiatives within the Life Sciences cluster, focusing on healthcare, biotechnology, and health innovation. Align sector-specific programmes with Abu Dhabi’s public health priorities and economic diversification agenda. Engage with regulators, investors, and ecosystem enablers to attract scalable investments, support health system resilience, and enhance the emirate’s global life sciences positioning.Key responsibilities:Develop and implement the strategic direction and investment roadmap for the Life Sciences cluster in alignment with Abu Dhabi’s health and economic goals.Originate, assess, and prioritise investment opportunities in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, diagnostics, and healthcare innovation.Engage with regulators (e.g., DoH, MOHAP), academia, and industry to enable investment-readiness and facilitate market entry.Coordinate with investor outreach and marketing teams to position Abu Dhabi as a regional hub for life sciences innovation.Review investment proposals, clinical innovation pitches, and licensing models with legal and financial counterparts.Support participation in global healthcare expos, bio-cluster forums, and trade missions to drive visibility and partnerships.Monitor KPIs related to sectoral outcomes, investment performance, and the impact of health innovation on quality of life.Administrative responsibilities:Support the implementation of KPIs within the division/office, ensuring alignment with sectoral and organizational objectives.Contribute to workforce planning efforts by assessing team requirements and providing input on manpower needs.Facilitate employee development through regular feedback, coaching, and coordination of training initiatives.Monitor budget performance for the division/office and provide input for budget planning and cost optimization.Advise team members on effective resource utilization and adherence to budgetary guidelines.Organizational responsibilities:Implement governance processes in line with division/office guidelines and ensure compliance with ADIO’s policies.Ensure team compliance with HR, legal, and risk policies by integrating guidelines into daily operations.Contribute to policy and procedure updates by providing insights on operational needs and challenges.Prepare and review reports on division/office activities for submission to leadership.Assist in executing change management activities and support communication efforts within the team.Participate in coaching and mentoring junior team members to build a talent pipeline.Support emergency preparedness efforts by following protocols and assisting in business continuity initiatives.Key Performance IndicatorsPercentage of team completing cluster-specific development plansNumber of stakeholder engagements or workshops held per quarterROI per cluster initiativeValue of investments secured within the clusterPercentage of investment proposals reviewed within defined turnaround timePercentage of promotional deliverables executed on scheduleInvestor satisfaction score for the clusterCluster visibility index (media reach, event presence, brand recall)Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Public Health, Health Economics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.Experience Required:Minimum 8-10 years in the same or related field.This position is open to UAE Nationals only.
