The business designs advanced hardware-software integrations and production-grade machine learning solutions to optimize supply chain ecosystems.Position OverviewThe business is hiring for a Head of Machine Learning & AI to lead a high-performing team of ML, data, and MLOps specialists. This role takes absolute ownership of the AI roadmap, moving models from prototype to real-world, enterprise-level deployment.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy & Roadmap: Align the ML strategy with business goals, driving intelligent automation features into production.Architecture & MLOps: Oversee scalable data pipelines and establish robust MLOps practices for seamless deployment and monitoring.Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and scale an agile engineering team while fostering cross-functional collaboration with product and embedded software teams.Profile RequirementsLeadership: 3+ years of experience managing or leading technical teams, backed by a strong background as an ML engineer.Real-World Execution: A proven track record of designing, deploying, and scaling production-grade AI applications beyond the research phase.Tech Stack: Proficiency in Python, deep learning frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow), cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), and containerization/MLOps tools.Languages: B2+ level of German is strictly required for stakeholder/operational alignment, alongside fluent English.Compensation & BenefitsWork Model: Flexible hybrid setup based in Berlin.Salary Range: €120,000 – €150,000 gross per annum (dependent on experience).Perks: Performance bonuses, development budget, and standard public transport subsidies.
