Head of MoE Subjects (UAE-based)

Position OverviewThe Head of MoE Subjects is responsible for leading, managing, and developing the delivery of Ministry of Education (MoE) subjects, including Arabic (A & B), Islamic Education, UAE Social Studies, and Moral Education, ensuring full compliance with UAE Ministry of Education and Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) requirements.The role focuses on improving teaching quality, student outcomes, curriculum implementation, and inspection readiness. Roles like this commonly include curriculum oversight, compliance, staff leadership, and student performance monitoring.   Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Management·        Lead and manage the MOE department, including Arabic, Islamic Studies, and Social Studies teachers.·        Set clear departmental goals aligned with the school improvement plan.·        Conduct lesson observations, provide feedback, and support teacher development.·        Mentor and coach staff to improve teaching standards.Curriculum & Compliance·     Ensure all MOE subjects are delivered according to UAE Ministry of Education curriculum requirements.·        Oversee curriculum planning, assessment, and reporting.·        Maintain compliance with KHDA inspection frameworks and MOE regulations.·        Prepare for KHDA inspections and internal audits.Teaching & Learning·        Monitor the quality of teaching and learning across MOE subjects.·        Analyze student progress and implement intervention strategies.·        Promote innovative teaching strategies and differentiated instruction.·        Ensure high attainment and progress for all students.Assessment & Reporting·        Monitor student performance data and identify improvement areas.·        Ensure assessment practices meet MOE requirements.·        Prepare departmental reports and action plans.Parent & Community Engagement·        Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress.·        Support school events, UAE national celebrations, and cultural initiatives.·        Strengthen community engagement related to MOE subjects.Role Requirements·        Bachelor’s Degree in Arabic, Islamic Studies, Education, or related field (Master’s preferred)·        Valid teaching qualification (Bachelor of Education, PGCE or equivalent)·        KHDA or MOE approval·       Minimum 5 years of teaching experience with at least 3 years in Leadership / Head of Department role·        Strong knowledge of MOE curriculum and KHDA inspection standards·        Fluency in Arabic and English·        Strong leadership and team management·        Curriculum planning and development·        Data analysis and student achievement tracking·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills·        Inspection readiness and compliance knowledge·        Strategic planning and problem-solving
