exceptional patient care starts with exceptional people and exceptional leadership.The OpportunityWe are looking for an experienced and inspiring Head of Nursing to lead our clinical nursing team in Bristol.This is a senior leadership role for someone who is passionate about delivering outstanding patient care, developing high-performing teams and creating a positive, supportive clinical culture where both patients and staff can thrive.You will play a key role in shaping the patient experience across the region, ensuring clinical excellence, operational efficiency and regulatory compliance while supporting the continued growth and success of the clinics.This role would suit an experienced fertility nurse leader who combines strong clinical expertise with a collaborative and people-focused leadership style.You’ll be someone who leads from the front, remains calm under pressure and takes genuine pride in developing teams, improving services and maintaining exceptionally high standards of care.What You’ll Be DoingLeading and supporting nursing teams across hub and satellite clinics to deliver safe, high-quality patient careManaging the day-to-day clinical operations of the region, ensuring clinics are appropriately staffed and running efficientlySupporting and developing a high-performance culture focused on patient experience, teamwork and accountabilityActively participating in patient care, including consultations, ultrasound scanning and theatre proceduresWorking closely with medical, operational and multidisciplinary teams to continually improve service delivery and patient outcomesManaging clinic rotas, staffing levels, annual leave and sickness absenceSupporting recruitment, training, induction, development and performance management of nursing teamsLeading regular team meetings, appraisals and 1:1s to support engagement and professional developmentEnsuring compliance with HFEA regulations, governance standards and internal clinical protocolsManaging audits, inspections, incidents and complaints in line with regulatory requirements and company policiesSupporting diary management, clinic utilisation and operational planning to maximise efficiency and patient accessPromoting CREATE Fertility’s Natural and Mild IVF philosophy and ensuring consistently high standards of patient communication and careSupporting theatre coordination and ensuring safe clinical governance across all treatment areasWorking collaboratively with other senior leaders and Heads of Nursing across the organisation to support growth and consistency across the networkWhat We’re Looking ForEssential ExperienceQualified RGN or equivalent nursing qualificationExtensive fertility nursing experience within assisted reproduction servicesStrong experience in pelvic ultrasound scanningPrevious experience leading and developing successful clinical teamsExcellent understanding of HFEA regulations and fertility governance standardsExperience managing operational performance, staffing and clinical service deliveryConfident handling sensitive conversations, complaints and challenging situations professionally and empatheticallyStrong organisational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectivelyExcellent communication skills with the ability to build trust and credibility
